Alaskan Cruise May 31-June 10th 2022!

This is in my top 3 favorite cruises! Scenery was awesome! If heaven is anything like this I can’t wait to go! Mountains, Glaciers, Waterfalls, Whales, Eagles, SeaLions, Lakes, and so much more!

If you have never been go just one time! It is worth the rain, and cooler temperatures! We were very lucky only one day of rain, weather was in the upper 70’s and mostly clear skies! From Juneau you are 70 miles from open seas so the waters were calm!

In Skagway we did the White Pass Yukon train trip! That was a beautiful journey to White Pass Summit!

In Juneau we did whale watching and walked rainforest trail to Mendenhall lake and Glacier. Didn’t see any bears, but lots of greenery!

In Ketchikan we did a boat ride with eagles, totem poles and light house! Saw lots of eagles

We cruised Tracey Arm Fjord we were able to see the Sawyer Glacier not a lot of ice in the water but some big pieces! They say we only see 10% of the ice the other 90% in underneath!

A bear fact: a bear will only eat the brains and stomach of the salmon leaves the rest for other predators!

Alaska has 270 days of participation a year!

Whales start migrating to Hawaii in October and come back in April usually with their calf! While in Hawaii they don’t eat, but eat the whole time they are in Alaskan waters!

The salmon hadn’t come back yet, but usually July and August they are plentiful and you should see more bear sightings as well!

We didn’t see the Northern Lights, but they say August September is a great time to view them!

I really don’t think it matters whether you go early summer or late summer the sights are unbelievable! I don’t think the winter months with the cold and snow would be for me!

Call me if you would like to book your adventure to Alaska! You will not regret it!

Carnival Freedom April 9-17 2022
8 Day Eastern Caribbean

Amber Cove DR
San Juan PR
St. Marteen
St. Thomas
3 Sea Days

These was a awesome cruise. Weather was great, not too hot, seas a little choppy, but otherwise good.

Usually when we go to Amber Cove we usually go to the pool in the port and hang out. This time we did a Carnival shore excursion, for 49.00 called Mountain View and City tour. David, our tour guide was awesome. We went to the mountain top and could see our ship in the harbor. Walked through a tropical garden, saw amazing flowers. We then drove down the mountain into town, did shopping, then a city tour. It was a great tour. I am not usually a fan ship sponsored tours, but this one was well worth the money.

San Juan, we just got off the ship and walked to Old Town, and went into the local shops, ate some amazing food. Trevor and Brooke walked up the steep hill to the fort. Robin and I walked back to the ship, stopping here and there shopping.

St. Marteen we did a tour with Bernard Tours. It was 55.00 and it was about 6 hours. We did 2 beach stops, one at Moho Beach, where we ate and watched the jets fly over and land, awesome. St. Marteen is one side Dutch gambling aloud, French side no gambling but n**e sunbathing is allowed. It was very interesting about the two countries sharing the island, but with different laws etc. Tour was a bit long but enjoyable.

St. Thomas we took at taxi to Megan’s Bay. There were 4 ships in port by 7:00 AM, we arrived at 8:00 am to the beach which was beautiful, but you couldn’t rent chairs or umbrellas until 9:30, boy there were there some mad people. When they did open the folks renting the the chairs and umbrellas were very rude, didn’t say thank you. They needed some customer service training. Then you went to get your chair from the attendant and drag it yourself to your spot. To get your 5.00 deposit back you dragged the chair back, get the attendant to stamp your receipt. It was 10.00 to rent the chair plus a 5.00 deposit. I guess they thought cruise ship people were going to steal the chairs and take them back to the ship. Word of advice here, the ships offer Beach Breaks to the beach for 54.00 pp. You can take a taxi for 8.00 pp, rent your chair a lot cheaper, because that 54.00 doesn’t include the chair rental. There is a 5.00 entry fee as well. Next time I’m going to Corki Beach to see if it is better or worse.

The ship was good, a new cruise director this was his first ship and I thought he did good. Their production show wasn’t great. Comics good well 2 of the 3 were.

Anyone wanting to book a cruise please contact me, I have almost 40 cruises in my resume so I feel that I can really help you plan that special vacation!

Until Alaska in May, Happy Sailing!

A new adventure to talk about! Panama Canal….awesome very interesting great trip!

We did a 10 day Panama Canal cruise on the Emerald Princess! The cruise was great, wasn’t impressed with the ship! Going through the canal and locks was interesting! We went through the new locks at the cost of 525,000 dollars! No wonder the port charges are so high! We only did a partial so only 3 locks going into Gaten Lake where we anchored until time to go back!

I was finally able to cruise after 19 months of being land locked! I can honestly say I felt safe on the ships and ports of calls!

Carnival did an awesome job with all the guidelines and mandates they have been given!

In ports of call you were asked to mask up inside and in crowded areas!

Ships are at 60-70% capacity and 95% of passengers have to be vaccinated! Plus you have to take a Covid test 48 hours before sailing!

If you are ready to book that long awaited cruise call, email, text me and we can get that ball rolling!

I have other cruises in October and November so I am BACK!
