Prepare for heavier traffic, longer lines, and more visitors.🚗

In June 2025, we saw more than 200k visitors, with more than 20k on our busiest weekends.

If you plan on stopping in Cle Elum during your summer adventures, please be mindful of residential areas and local wildlife!🌲

In Cle Elum, summer really starts Memorial Day Weekend (That's this weekend!)

Camping and recreational sites are officially opening for the season, which means you’ll start seeing more trailers, boats, and wildlife around the area.🌲

Cle Elum has so much to explore this summer—but we want everyone to enjoy it safely and responsibly!

Important Things to Remember:
- The lakes and rivers around here are mostly snowmelt, so they can be freezing temps, especially earlier in the season❄
- Pack it in, Pack it Out!!🗑️
- Be respectful of wildlife🦋
- Traffic will be heavier on holiday weekends, plan accordingly! 🚗

And while you're here, don’t forget to stop by the local museums and learn a bit about the history that makes this area so special!
