Ever wonder how all that dirt from excavation gets removed? Our operators get to drive around in this bad boy! Dirt gets moved into larger piles that are then either removed from the job site or stored on-site to be used at a later time.

I was so tempted to ask them to let me drive! 🚗

The rain is finally upon us, and working inside the tunnel keep our crews dry! 🌧 With the storm system that just ripped through the region, we are grateful to keep our crew moving but out of the worst of the weather.

Did you know we hand-install all of the wire you see in the photo? It's hard work, but they make it look effortless! 💪🏼

Winter is coming... and with it comes the rain. 🌧

Working on a project during the rainy season comes with a unique set of challenges that are highly variable job to job. Every job requires that grading and earth-moving operations are halted to ensure erosion control. Some jobs are not far enough along and need to be covered until spring. Some projects are located in ground that requires all waterproofing be completed to prevent the tunnel from flooding and ensure we can continue work inside of the tunnel. We even had some temporary frog tenants at one of our sites in the past! 🐸

Interestingly enough, working inside of a tunnel during rainy season is ideal! Our equipment and crew are able to stay dry, and forward progress can continue.

We hope you stay dry during this season as well! ☔️

Shotcrete application isn't for the faint of heart, but our crew makes it look like just another Tuesday. The combination of brute strength and attention to detail required to complete this task multiple times a day is a true testament to their aptitude.

The precision during tunneling required to ensure the cave and portals line up according to design is no easy task, but our crews deliver every time. Breakthrough days are always an exciting time on the job, and we love when the property owners can experience it with us!

Did you know storing your wine barrels in a wine cave can save you $$$ on electricity costs versus an above-ground warehouse? Building your storage space underground also means stable temperatures year-round, lower product evaporation, and easier humidity control.
