Today’s adventure took us to the wild side at Busch Gardens 🐾🌿

AJ and I tried the Animal Ambassador Tour and got up close with some unexpected new friends… we pet an armadillo (their little claws 😭), met the tiniest tortoise who looked approximately 147 years wise 🐢, and hand-fed flamingos who were very confident about snack time 🦩😂

One of our favorite things about staying around Tampa Bay? There’s always something beyond beaches and theme parks waiting to surprise you. Animal encounters, hidden gems, and stories you didn’t plan for often end up being the best memories.

According to a new story from the Tampa Bay Times, peacocks started spreading around neighborhoods like Gulfport, Jungle Prada, and Disston Heights after escaping or being released from old Florida estates, tourist attractions, and exotic animal collections years ago.

Fast forward to today… and now these things basically run certain neighborhoods 😂

Some locals absolutely love them and think they’re part of old Florida charm. Others say they scream at sunrise, sit on cars, scratch roofs, block traffic, and act like they own the place.

Honestly though… random peacocks casually walking through Gulfport somehow feels completely on brand for Gulfport 🦚🌴

Also… if you live in Gulfport and you’ve got peacock content, SEND IT TO US 😂 We want all the peacock takeover footage.
