The next time you’re getting ready to watch the nighttime fireworks at EPCOT, take a quick look at which way the wind is blowing before you pick your viewing spot.
Because the show takes place right in the middle of World Showcase Lagoon and the fireworks are launched so close to guests, wind direction can make a huge difference in your experience. If you’re standing downwind, you may find yourself watching the show through a cloud of smoke instead of enjoying those beautiful views!
A simple trick: About 30 minutes before showtime, Disney lights the torches around the lagoon. Watch the flame movement to get a good idea of the wind direction, then choose a spot that keeps the smoke blowing away from you.
