The Great Chicken Strip Challenge

13 flavors of chicken strips, and I tried them ALL! Walt Disney World introduced 13 new saucy versions of chicken strips, and with the help of my family, I tried all of them to find the BEST and worst across the theme parks and resort hotels. We tested each version for sauciness, taste, how willing we would be to get that flavor again, and rated them on a scale of 1 - 5....

Bluey’s Wild World

Grab your mates and let's take a look at Bluey's Wild World experience in Disney's Animal Kingdom! These tips will help you have a wackadoo time, and not saying "biscuits" in frustration. The most important thing to know is that this is not a character meet and greet. Bluey and Bingo will mingle with the crowd and you can get a picture if you're quick, but they don't stop to meet or sign autographs....

With vibrant rainbow caverns and glittering gold, the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness is better than ever before. And the new track and train cars make the ride a lot smoother, and means the height requirement has dropped from 40" to 38"!

We went to Epcot early enough to rope drop Frozen Ever After and here's a great Disney tip for you: the wait time said 40 minutes, we waited just under 25. Why? Very few people are using Lightning Lanes for this ride that early in the day, which means the regular standby line moves very quickly!

And we finally got to see the new animatronics with faces, instead of the original projection mapped faces. They look great! To be honest, this is not my favorite ride, I think it's missing something and there are too many blank spaces. But if you have a Frozen fan in your family you just have to see Anna and Elsa, it's a must-do.

Disney's newest private island, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, is stunningly gorgeous! The water was unreal - I couldn't get a good picture, but even from our porthole window facing away from the island, the water was so clear we could see to the bottom. Insane.

What I liked - unlike Castaway Cay, the facilities, and especially the bathrooms, are updated and plentiful.
- lots of seating available, especially at the dining areas
- the beach and the water were gorgeous

What I didn't love - the walk. To the island was fine, but the return trip? No. They did have cooling towels and water waiting for us
- How far apart everything is, with a lack of transportation options
- the adult beach blending into the family beach, with no real separation
- what seemed like a lack of maps and confusing way finding
- why are the family areas the farthest away from everything?

And my bonus tip? Don't forget about room service! A cheese plate and Mickey ice cream bar just hit different after a long day in the sun!

We had an ocean view (porthole) deluxe stateroom on the Disney Magic, room #2598. The location on deck 2 ended up being very convenient to activities on Deck 3, and the aft elevators which weren't nearly as busy as the mid-ship ones.
While I prefer, and always recommend, a balcony room, this wasn't terrible. We had some noise above us in the afternoons from the kitchens (I think we may have been below a storage area. It was very noisy for about an hour or so, like they were pulling supplies for dinner, and then quiet otherwise.)
We were also above the engine room, I think, but that didn't make any discernible noise - and I'm very sensitive to noise.

These are the kinds of things I look at when helping you choose a stateroom on your cruise. Your room location can make a huge difference, but it's something you may not even notice when it's the perfect fit!
