Since 1958 GOODTIME Cruises and Tours have been educating and entertaining young and old visitors and residents alike on the Cuyahoga River and Cleveland’s Lakefront right from East Ninth Street Pier and North Coast Harbor. Two Hour Narrated Tours are refreshing and informative, with a unique perspective of the City and the many bridges that connect its East and West Side. Cleveland, once known as the “City of Bridges” was a power-house during the Industrial Revolution also was home to many of the Headquarters of the Fortune 500 Companies. The history of the Cuyahoga River took many turns over the years, just as the River itself has many turns... The word; Cuyahoga means “Crooked” and was named so by the Iroquoian-speaking North American Indians called Eriez or Erie People.
The 2-hour tours are offered Friday - Sunday during the 2020 summer sailing season. Shining a light on Cleveland and the key areas of distinction that have made our country great. You will find a new appreciation for the reversal of years of Pollution that once made international news (June 22, 1969) and brought about the Environmental Protection Agency in 1970 and the Clean Water Act in 1972. There are many significant facts you will learn about Cleveland and the People who started their companies along the river banks.
