Squeezing in one of the last shout-outs for Women’s Month!

Meet Venecia, or as we affectionately call her, “Vee.” She kicked off her journey with us at CJC back in 2018, and it’s been an amazing adventure ever since! Initially, Vee juggled a part-time role while balancing college and weekend shifts. As she explored opportunities elsewhere, she always found herself excited about returning to CJC. The warmth and friendliness of the team really made it feel like home for her.

Now, Vee has been with us full-time for almost two years, and she absolutely loves it! She wears many hats here—serving as a customer service representative, ramp assistant, social media coordinator, and even a cookie baker (yum! Our cookies are from .). She’s always ready to jump in and lend a hand where it’s needed. What she enjoys most about the aviation industry is the endless learning opportunities and the willingness of everyone to share their experiences and knowledge.

One of her favorite memories is the Eclipse that took place in April 2024. She said, “There was no place I would have rather been than on the ramp with my CJC family—it was such an unforgettable day!”

We had some fun asking her questions, and here’s what she shared: When it comes to favorite aircraft, Vee is a big fan of the Vision Jet because of its neat, compact design. If she had to fly solo, she thinks she could manage the takeoff. But honestly, she’s much happier being a passenger!

And if she could fly anywhere in the world in any aircraft, she’d pick the Global 8000, surrounded by all her favorite people, heading off to the beautiful shores of Sicily together!

March isn’t over and we aren’t done talking about all the amazing women we have here at CJC!

Lauren has been with the Cleveland Jet Center for an impressive 13 years and is our Customer Service Manager. She discovered this fantastic position through a family member and loved it so much that she just couldn’t walk away! One of the things she enjoys most is meeting all sorts of people and building lasting professional relationships.

One of her favorite memories is working at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland back in 2016—it was quite the experience! When we asked her whether she would rather take off or land if she had to fly solo, she cheerfully said that takeoff seems easier. Although, she admitted that small planes aren’t really her thing.

If she ever had the chance to travel anywhere in the world , you’d definitely catch her and her family soaring away in a Falcon 7X to a beautiful beach destination!

We know you’re already familiar with Rebecca—she’s been featured on our page quite a bit because she’s just so AMAZING! We’re super excited to celebrate her as part of our Women’s Month series!

Rebecca has spent a fantastic year and a half working in aviation at the Cleveland Jet Center, where she is a valued member of the line service team. Her journey into aviation began with an exciting discovery flight alongside Ryan, our ops manager, and she’s been hooked ever since! For Rebecca, the skies are full of endless opportunities, and she truly loves being part of this incredible world.

One of her favorite memories at CJC was experiencing the breathtaking total eclipse in 2024—it was an unforgettable moment! Having spent a good amount of time on the ramp, Rebecca has become quite familiar with lots of different aircraft. Right now, her absolute favorite is the G700!

When we asked Rebecca a fun question about flying solo, she said she would much rather take off than land, which makes total sense for someone with her passion! We also asked if she could fly anywhere in the world—covering her own fuel costs, of course—where she’d like to go. Without hesitation, she chose to fly a Cirrus SR22 to the beautiful state of Montana.

In honor of Women’s Month✨, we’re excited to comtinue to highlight our wonderful female team members!

Bethany joined our team in the summer of 2024, and we’re so glad to have her as a seasonal/part-time member! You might spot her on the ramp helping out during her breaks from school, although she keeps pretty busy throughout the school year. Currently, she’s a student at Kent State University and part of the Air Force ROTC, with her sights set on snagging a pilot slot for cargo—how exciting!

What Bethany loves most about aviation is the amazing variety and all the different career paths you can take in this industry. She’s a student pilot and enjoys flying with her dad, who is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). Sometimes, she even tags along with her brother as he works on building his flying hours. If she ever had the chance to fly anywhere in the world and just needed to cover the fuel costs, she’d love to travel to Antarctica to run a half marathon there!

Meet Marie, the amazing General Manager at the Cleveland Jet Center – and the first woman to hold this role at CJC! It all started about twenty years ago when she wandered into a small Fixed Base Operator (FBO) searching for part-time help. Marie began working at the front desk during the nights and weekends, and before she knew it, she climbed her way up to a customer service management position. After about nine years there, she found her way to the Cleveland Jet Center, where she truly shines!

Marie is passionate about the incredible people in the aviation world, the exciting, fast-paced environment, and the surprises every day brings. She loves that every day feels like a new adventure! One of her fondest memories is her very first day walking into CJC – she felt an instant sense of belonging and knew the vibes were just right.

We couldn’t resist asking Marie a few fun questions! Her favorite aircraft? The King Air! If she ever had to go solo, would she prefer to land or take off? Marie confidently said she’d love to take off! Although she’s had a few flight lessons, she jokingly admits that she might not make the best pilot.

If she could fly anywhere in the world in any aircraft and just needed to cover the fuel costs, she’d choose a Cessna 152 and head over to Youngstown! But if she had unlimited money, she’d take a G700 to Bora Bora!

We conquered the polar blast! Despite frigid temperatures and biting winds, we charged ahead! We raced against the cold, swiftly unloading endless totes of freezeables from the aircraft. Our de-ice truck was fired up and ready to tackle the challenge, and our cozy hangar was buzzing with activity, packed and primed for action!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our festive Christmas luncheon! Despite the chilly weather outside, our FBO was alive with laughter, chatter, and the warmth of shared memories.
