Yesterday was all about prep for my group sailing tomorrow… and squeezing in a Bavarian Food and Beer tour. 🍺🇩🇪

Spoiler alert: the tour wasn’t exactly as advertised — and this is exactly why I personally experience tour operators before recommending them to my clients. This one landed itself on the Do Not Suggest list. 😬

That said, I always make the best of things, and I did manage to enjoy some fantastic beer along the way!

Yesterday, we took a day trip from Munich to the breathtaking Neuschwanstein Castle—but first, we fueled up with lunch at a charming little Italian café nearby. Pasta and views? Yes, please!

After lunch, we made the walk out to Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) for that iconic fairytale view—and it did not disappoint. The castle, nestled in the Bavarian Alps, looks like something out of a dream.

Built in the late 1800s by King Ludwig II as a tribute to composer Richard Wagner, Neuschwanstein was never fully completed. Still, it has captured imaginations for generations—and even inspired Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle 🏰✨

No photos are allowed inside the castle itself—so you’ll just have to go see it for yourself! Truly a magical day in Bavaria 🇩🇪

Today I prep for my large group arriving and will enjoy a Bavarian food & beer tour this evening before my flight to Greece tomorrow🍻

Saying goodbye to Western Australia and heading to Sydney next!

WA truly surprised me; so much untouched beauty, and the landscapes are absolutely stunning. The Margaret River region was a total delight (hello, wine and coastline!) and Pemberton’s forest charm was just what I love. There’s so much this side of the country has to offer, and I’m so glad I got to explore it.

And the food - WOW.

Bonus? The American dollar stretches far here right now—making it the perfect time to visit!

Next up: a koala encounter and an afternoon cruising Sydney Harbour on a private boat. Let’s go!
