Residents at Scott Hill Retirement Community enjoyed a fascinating and interactive visit from Ranger Jessa of Douthat State Park last Tuesday, May 12!
During the presentation, residents learned about reptiles and other native wildlife found throughout our region, including the important role these animals play in Virginia’s natural environment. Guests had the opportunity to see several wildlife specimens up close and ask questions during this engaging educational program.
We appreciate Ranger Jessa and Douthat State Park for sharing their time, knowledge, and passion for wildlife conservation with our community. Programs like these provide meaningful opportunities for lifelong learning, discovery, and connection with nature.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this special event such a success!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Clifton Forge Fire Department, Police Department, and Emergency Services for the compassion they show every day in the work they do. Their incredible support for our residents truly means so much to our community.
As a small token of our appreciation, we were grateful to share cookies and pizza with them today! Thank you for everything you do to keep us safe!
