Because after years of traveling with my own three boys and helping hundreds of families plan vacations, I've learned something important...

Not all family-friendly resorts are actually family-friendly for YOUR family.
A resort might have a kids club, splash pad, family suites, and activities all day long.

But what if:
🏖️ The pool is too deep for your little swimmers?

Some vacations are work.
This isn't one of them. 🌊✨
As a mom of three, I've learned that the best family vacations aren't necessarily the ones where you're running from one thing to the next.

They're the ones where everyone finds their happy place.
☕ Coffee on deck while the ship wakes up.
🏖️ Beach days without the logistics.
🎭 Broadway-style entertainment at night.
👦 Spaces for kids.
🧑 Spaces for teens.
🍸 Spaces for adults.
❤️ Time together when it matters most.

And for multigenerational families? Disney Cruise Line may be one of the easiest vacations out there.
Grandparents can spend time with the grandkids.
Parents can actually relax.
Kids and teens have independence.

Parents of teenagers, this is your reminder that Disney didn’t end when the character phase did. ❤️

Some of my favorite Disney memories with my boys have happened during the teen years.
These days it’s less about autographs and character meals and more about:
🚀 TRON after dark
🎢 Guardians of the Galaxy
🌙 Extended Evening Hours
🍿 Late-night snacks
😂 One more ride before the park closes

The magic is still there.
It just grows up right along with them.
As a mom of three boys, I’ve experienced Disney through every stage, from little kids who couldn’t wait to meet their favorite characters to teenagers who want to stay until midnight and ride every thrill attraction twice.

That’s also why I approach Disney planning differently for families with older kids and teens.

✨ Disney doesn't get less magical when they become teenagers.

I know that's probably not the popular opinion.
Somewhere along the way, many parents start believing their kids have "outgrown" Disney.
But as a mom of three boys, including teens, I can honestly say some of our best Disney memories have happened in these later years.

These days it's less about characters and more about:
🚀 Riding TRON after dark
🎢 Racing to Guardians
🌙 Taking advantage of Extended Evening Hours
🍿 Late-night snacks
😂 Laughing together until the parks close

The magic is still there.
It just looks different.
And maybe that's why I appreciate it even more now.
Because I know these years are moving fast.
Before long, there will be college schedules, jobs, relationships, and families of their own.

That's why I still believe Walt Disney World is one of the best vacations for families with older kids and teens. Not because they're little. But because these are some of the last years when everyone is still under one roof, making memories together.

And if there's one thing I've learned as both a mom and a travel advisor, it's this: You don't stop making family memories because your kids get older.

Sometimes those become the memories you treasure the most. ❤️🏰

🌍 Let's talk about Europe for a minute.
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that Europe is something families should save for when the kids are older, when life slows down, or when they have more time to figure it all out.
As a mom who has experienced Europe with my own family on both Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney, I couldn't disagree more.

What I love about Europe isn't just the history, the food, or the incredible destinations.
It's watching families experience something new together.
🏰 Exploring castles and ancient cities
🍝 Trying foods they've never had before
🚆 Riding trains through places they've only seen in books
🌍 Seeing the world from a different perspective

And years later? Those are still the trips my boys talk about.
But here's the other thing I've learned:

Europe can feel overwhelming.
Which countries?
How many nights?
Cruise or land?
Guided or independent?
Private tours?
Trains?
Transfers?
Hotels?

That's where having someone who has actually done it and planned it for many other families, makes all the difference.

Because Google can show you 1,000 options.
My job is helping you figure out which option is actually right for YOUR family.

If you’re sitting at a baseball field, soccer field, dance competition, graduation party, or end-of-school event this weekend, I have a feeling you’ll understand this.

May has been a lot.

The last few weeks have been filled with baseball games, graduations, family responsibilities, deadlines, and all the things that come with raising a family. And honestly? There were moments I felt completely tapped out.

But sitting here this weekend with my coffee, watching another game, I’m reminded of something I tell my travel clients all the time:

Life doesn’t magically slow down.

There will always be another practice.
Another game.
Another meeting.
Another item on the to-do list.

The families who make the best memories aren’t waiting for life to get less busy.

They’re choosing to put something special on the calendar anyway.

🚢 A cruise.
🏝️ A Caribbean getaway.
🌺 A trip to Hawaii.
🗺️ A family adventure through Europe.
🥰 Even just a long weekend together.

Alaska on Disney Cruise Line? One of my favorite family vacations to plan. 🚢✨

While many families think of the Caribbean first, Disney Alaska cruises offer something truly special:
🐋 Whale watching
❄️ Stunning glaciers
🌲 Incredible scenery
👨‍👩‍👦 Meaningful family time
✨ The magic of Disney in a completely different setting

I also love that Disney Cruise Line sails Alaska on the classic ships, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. There is just something special about these smaller ships and the experience they create in Alaska.
