Can you book your own vacation? Absolutely. ✈️

But before you hit “book,” think about this…

Who checked that 45-minute connection?
🌴 How far is that resort REALLY from the airport?
🛂 Does everyone have what they need to enter the country?
🚢 Do your flights actually work with your cruise?
🏨 Is that room category really what you think it is?

And the big one…

When your flight gets canceled at 6 AM, who’s helping rebook it while you’re trying to get your family out the door? 😵‍💫

That’s the part of my job you don’t always see.

Your friend may have loved that resort. That Costco package may be a great deal.

But I’m not just looking for a trip that fits your budget. I’m looking at all the pieces that need to work once you actually leave home.

Because a vacation isn’t a deal if the details don’t work for your family. ✈️

A Disney Cruise for New Year’s Eve is one of those trips that feels completely different once you’ve actually experienced it.

I’ve done it with my own family: the countdown, the music, the fireworks at sea, everyone together at midnight and it is exactly the kind of trip I would recommend to families who want New Year’s Eve to feel like more than just another night out.

And the best part is, the celebration is only one piece of the vacation.

You still get the full Disney Cruise Line experience: incredible entertainment, great dining, kids and teen spaces, adult areas, island days and plenty of time together without having to coordinate every detail yourself.

For families with older kids and teens especially, I love this kind of trip because everyone gets something out of it.

And if a Disney Cruise for New Year’s Eve is something you’re considering, this is where experience matters.

I’ve sailed Disney Cruise Line for more than 20 years and experienced New Year’s Eve at sea firsthand, so I can help you sort through the ship, sailing, stateroom and itinerary that actually fit your family.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

If you want to spend your next New Year’s Eve watching fireworks at sea, I can help get you there. ✨

If Labor Day weekend has you thinking, “We need to plan the next trip…” 🌴 This is your sign.

But choosing a Caribbean resort? That’s where it gets overwhelming fast.

Turks & Caicos or Punta Cana?
All-inclusive or not?
Great for little kids…or actually good for teens?
Worth upgrading the room?
And does that resort look as good in real life as it does online? 👀

This is where firsthand experience matters.

I don’t just book Caribbean vacations….I spend a lot of time actually experiencing the resorts I recommend.

I’ve stayed at or toured resorts throughout Turks & Caicos, Punta Cana, Aruba, Mexico and beyond—from Beaches Turks & Caicos and St. Regis Cap Cana to Secrets, Ritz-Carlton and more.

I’ve seen the rooms. Walked the beaches. Tried the restaurants. Checked out the kids and teen spaces. And yes, absolutely paid attention to which pool I’d actually want to spend my afternoon at. 😂

Because the “best Caribbean resort” isn’t the same for every family.

My job is knowing the difference and helping you find the one that fits yours. 🌴✈️

So if a Caribbean family vacation, spring break getaway or winter escape is already floating around in your head, send me a message. Tell me who’s going + what matters most to you, and I’ll help you narrow down where you should actually go.

Planning your first family trip to Europe with kids?

The biggest mistake I see?

Trying to do too much, too fast.

Rome → Florence → Venice → Paris.

It sounds amazing on paper.

Then you add the trains, taxis, packing, unpacking, hotel changes, timed tickets, meal planning and trying to get everyone out the door again the next morning.

That is how a dream Europe trip turns into a logistics marathon.

Especially with elementary or middle school kids.

For a first Europe trip, I would seriously consider one of these two options instead:

🚢 A Mediterranean cruise

Unpack once. Wake up somewhere new. Have your big sightseeing day in Rome, Florence, Barcelona or the South of France — then come back to the same room, the pool, familiar food and kids/teen spaces.

I’ve done Europe this way with my own kids when they were elementary age, and it can be one of the easiest ways to introduce kids to Europe without completely wearing everyone out.

OR…

🧳 A family-focused guided Europe trip

Think Adventures by Disney or Tauck Bridges.

These trips are built for families — not adult itineraries that kids are simply expected to survive.

The logistics are handled. The sightseeing is balanced with experiences. The pacing makes more sense for families.

And instead of spending your vacation managing the vacation, you actually get to experience Europe WITH your kids.

I’ve done Europe this way too, with a mix of elementary and middle school ages, and it is a completely different — but equally smart — way to go.

The goal of your first family trip to Europe should not be:

“How many cities can we squeeze in?”

It should be:

“How do we make our kids want to come back?”

That is the difference.

And that is exactly why I start with HOW your family should travel Europe before we ever start choosing the itinerary.

Because the best family Europe trip is not the one with the most stops.

It is the one everyone is still talking about when you get home.

Is Club Level at Disney World actually worth it?

I get asked this one ALL the time.

My answer? Yes…for the right family.

If you’re leaving your Disney Deluxe Resort at 7 AM and not coming back until after the fireworks every single night?

Save the money. You probably won’t use Club Level enough to justify it.

But if your Disney trips look a little more like this…

☕ Coffee + an easy breakfast before heading to the parks
🏰 Parks in the morning
🏊 Back to the resort for the pool in the afternoon
🥨 Snacks and drinks without another stop
🍽️ Evening bites before heading back out
🥂 Parents actually getting a minute to sit down and relax

Then I think Club Level can absolutely be worth the upgrade.

And here’s the part people sometimes miss:

I don’t look at Club Level as a way to “get my money back” in food.

I look at it as convenience.

When I’m traveling with my family, there is something very nice about everyone being able to walk into the lounge and grab what they want without another reservation, another mobile order or another decision.

For some families? I’d tell you to spend that money somewhere else.

For others? It’s one of the Disney World upgrades I’d book again and again.

That’s why when I’m helping a family choose a Walt Disney World resort, I’m not just asking “What’s your budget?”

I want to know how you actually vacation.
Because that’s what tells me whether the upgrade is worth it. ✨ 🏰

If you’re going to splurge on ONE thing at Disney World, I’d seriously consider this. 👀

First, this is NOT an upgrade I’d recommend for every Disney World vacation.

But for the right trip? I think it can completely change the experience.

A Disney VIP Tour gives you a private VIP Tour Guide for up to 10 guests and a completely customized day built around what your group wants to do.

✨ Access to attractions through Lightning Lane entrances
🚐 Private transportation between the parks
🏰 The ability to park hop and accomplish A LOT in one day
🎢 An itinerary built around your family’s priorities
⭐ A dedicated VIP Tour Guide who knows how to make the day work
🥨 Snacks galore
🎆 And depending on your plans, access to reserved viewing areas for select nighttime entertainment

But after experiencing it myself, here’s what I think you’re REALLY paying for:

TIME.

Less time figuring out where to go next.
Less time moving between parks.
Less time standing around.
More time actually enjoying Disney World together.

And that’s why I especially love VIP Tours for multigenerational families, milestone celebrations, families with limited park time, repeat Disney guests who have very specific must-dos, and families who simply want to take their Disney World vacation to another level.

It’s an investment.

But if you’re already spending significantly on a Disney vacation and your priority is making the most of your time together, this is one upgrade I think is absolutely worth considering.

And this is exactly the kind of decision I help my clients make, not just can we add it, but does it make sense for YOUR family, your trip and what you want to get out of your Disney World vacation?

Because sometimes the best upgrade isn’t a bigger room or another park day.

Sometimes it’s buying back your time. ✨

There’s something about a Disney World vacation that makes you notice just how quickly they’re growing up. ✨🏰

The little hand reaching for yours.
The excitement when they see Cinderella Castle.
Believing Mickey is really Mickey.
The princess dress.
“One more ride!”
Staying up way too late for the fireworks.

And then somehow… those little moments become the ones you’d give anything to have back.

You won’t remember every Lightning Lane or every meal.

But you’ll remember their face when the fireworks started. ❤️

You can’t slow down time.

But you can fill it with memories.

And maybe that’s the real Disney magic. ✨

If you have 3-4 nights this fall, I have an idea. 👀

✈️ Fly to Orlando.
🏨 Check into a Universal Orlando hotel.
🌎 Give Epic Universe a full day.
🎢 Hit Universal Studios Florida + Islands of Adventure.
⚡ Stay at one of the hotels that includes Universal Express Unlimited and make those park days count.

And if we’re talking November or December? Even better. 🎄

Add Grinchmas, Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s and all the holiday fun around Universal Orlando Resort.

So if you’ve been up late Googling…

🔎 Is 3 days enough for Universal Orlando?
🔎 Which Universal hotels include Express Pass?
🔎 How many days do we need for Epic Universe?
🔎 Is Universal worth it during the holidays?

These are exactly the questions I help families figure out.

Because YES, you can still pull off a really great Universal Orlando vacation this fall. And you don’t need a full week to do it.

If you have the dates, I can help you figure out the rest. 🎢

Not every Disney Cruise is a good first Disney Cruise.

The biggest mistake I see families make when choosing their first Disney Cruise?

Choosing a sailing because it’s the newest ship, the cheapest option or the dates that popped up first.

Your first Disney Cruise should fit YOUR family.

Kids’ ages.
Length of sailing.
Ship.
Itinerary.
Departure port.
Stateroom.
And what you actually want this vacation to feel like.

A 3-night Disney Wish cruise can be perfect for one family.

For another? I’d tell them to book 7 nights on the Disney Fantasy without hesitation.

There isn’t one “best” Disney Cruise.

There’s the one I’d choose for you.

Planning a Disney World Christmas vacation? 🎄 Your dates matter more than you think.

When do the decorations go up?
Which nights have Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
Which parade will you see?
When do the resorts decorate?
Is the Christmas Party worth it for your family?

These are the details I help you sort through BEFORE we book so we choose the dates, resort and experiences that actually match the Disney Christmas trip you’re picturing.

That’s the difference between booking Disney World and having someone who knows Disney plan it with you. 🎄
