Crappie were small and finicky so we switched over to blue cat.
Slower day on them as well but managed some action and enough to take some good eating home!
Hopefully this heat is gone for good now and this bite should improve.

Trolled crankbaits for crappie this morning.
They weren’t on fire but you could find fish if you slugged it out.
Trolled deep rocky points today.
The Outlaw Crappie Poles with their 12’ on the outside, 10’ in the middle and 8’ inside let me make tight figure eights to stay in fish.
Nice thing with trolling crankbaits you catch some really nice fish, this one came on a WRM Gear crankbait

Crazy morning out there today!
Trying some new spots and I’m wore out, constant action as soon as I got the planer boards set.
Same thing D&S custom jigs catfish rigs and whole Shad, bigger the better, trolled 28-30’ again, loaded with baitfish and blues!
Don’t make me catch all of these! I have openings Wednesday on next week.

Fun morning trolling for blue cat! This big ole girl got her pic with me and went right back into the water! As always those D&S catfish rigs with whole big shad on was the ticket! I’ve honestly caught way more blues and big blues with these rigs, Santee Cooper rig, components from (D&S Custom jigs )trolled around .5 mph = success and fun!

Little tip! If your chart plotter will do it, use your depth shading to color out a depth you are staying in, today they were stacked in 28-32’ of water, I trolled the channel edge staying in my purple color I setup, it’s just a great visual and makes it easy.
Come get in on this action
