Congratulations to our client ALRIG USA on its approved site plan amendment for a retail development planned for the former St. Mary’s Nursing Home site in Saint Clair Shores, which soon will be home to new Chipotle and Panera locations.

The city’s planning commission gave unanimous approval to the plan, which was proud to assist our longtime and valued client with.

From the Macomb Daily's reporting: “The thing I like is that this development is progress in the Nine Mile area and as called for in the Master Plan, it helps to connect the Nautical Mile and the downtown district,” [Councilman David] Rubello said. “That St. Mary’s property was destroyed and has been like that for a long time, so I think this is a step in the right direction.”

was happy to be included in the Portrait Unveiling ceremony for Federal Judge Steeh. Chief Judge Sean Cox did a terrific job as the Master of Ceremonies.

Judge Steeh earned his fine reputation because he tried many cases and treated all of those there with a great deal of respect.

At the ceremony, Rob Huth told the story to anyone he could corner that he met George Steeh while delivering a newspaper to George Steeh’s friend. Huth had to continue to explain this event did not happen recently and that Huth was in eighth grade at the time.

Yesterday Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the appointment of Partner and Sterling Heights Mayor Michael Taylor to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee provides policy direction and guidance to the MEDC regarding economic development programs and initiatives and works to ensure the MEDC performs and is recognized as one of the top ten state economic development organizations in the nation.

“I’m honored to be appointed by Governor Whitmer to serve on the MEDC Executive Committee,” said Taylor. “Together, we can continue building vibrant communities, attracting new industries, and ensuring Michigan remains a competitive place for businesses to invest and grow.”
