🌲 Last Thursday was a wonderful day of learning and exploring right here in Sampson County! The day started at Pondberry Bay, where we explored the diverse walking trail, saw beautiful longleaf pines, and learned so much from some incredibly knowledgeable people. 🌿 That afternoon, the Coharie Tribal Center graciously welcomed everyone with food and cultural songs before three wonderful speakers shared more about the conservation and nature work happening throughout Sampson County, especially the work connected to the Mountains to Sea Trail. 🥾🌎 It was such a fun and educational experience and a great reminder of just how much natural beauty there is to discover in Sampson County! 💚
