🇲🇽 Back from my quick trip trip to Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa and it did not disappoint!
🌴Dreams Puerto Morelos is located a super quick 20-minute drive from the Cancun International Airport. Check in was efficient and fast and we were in our Preferred Club Ocean Front room in no time. 🌊
The room was extra spacious (all room categories are an ample 668 sq. feet) and has a max capacity of 4 people. My ground level suite walked out to one of the pools which made it convenient to take a quick swim whenever I wanted to cool off. Buildings have 4 levels offering balcony rooms with great views as well.
But let me tell you...this place has lots of pools. 9 to be exact 💦. I think this is one of the best things about Dreams Puerto Morelos. With so many places to swim (including a waterpark for both littles and older kids) I never felt like the pools were crowded. The many options for pools also made the chair game obsolete. While I was there, I never saw anyone up at the crack of dawn 🌅grabbing the prime pool spots...a refreshing change from some other resorts I've been to.
I tried multiple dining options 🍽 and liked them all! For dinner I was able to try Asian, French and Mexican and there is also a grill, Italian, Caribbean and buffet available. Lunch offerings are the buffet, Barefoot Grill serving burgers, nuggets, nachos or the Woodfire Pizzeria 🍕. A buffet breakfast is available as well as an ala carte option for Preferred Club. The Coco Cafe served coffee ☕, ice cream 🍨, pastries 🥯 and sandwiches from 7am - 11pm. Lots of great options for kids!
🎯Activities were happening all day! From pool games, foam parties, crafts, lawn games, casino games (for the adults) and shows including a fire show 🔥 and Mayan night while we were there. If you wanted to stay busy, there was something for everyone. For an extra charge, there's even an Escape Room experience. 🗝
While there were many options for cooling off in a pool, unfortunately, a traditional beach at Dreams Puerto Morelos is pretty much non-existent due to erosion. If a beach experience is a must for your vacation, I would not recommend this resort. But if your family are pool people, this may just be your place. I myself, would absolutely visit again! To be honest, if vacationing with little ones, I don't hate the idea of visiting a beautiful resort and not having a beach to tempt them into the ocean.
