ICE TO SEE YOU
Woke up this morning to a misty icy wonderland. (If you like that sort of thing.). Luckily the mustangs didn't seem to mind. The freezing fog left beautiful ice crystals on their shaggy hair and manes. The horses were covered with frozen diamonds and made shimmering noises as they moved. I was sorry I left my good camera home. I tried to capture the beauty with my iPhone but unfortunately the pictures are lacking. Still - you shoulda been there. Hope you enjoy.

WHAT THE HAIL - OR - SLEET HAPPENS
Another Bullwinkle reference? There is cold and then there's cold. Today it was cold. But work goes on and the mustangs were hungry. We still took time to take a few photos of the beauty of the cold. Enjoy.

Sorry, we were Bullwinkle Fans growing up. Back at it again this morning. To say it's "raw" is a slight understate. Something about Oklahoma cold - just goes right to the bones. Still, hard to complain with heated tractor and insulated boots and clothes. So different from the "old days". Sigh - showin our age. Enjoy

WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!
We've been away from Facebook but today's feeding was as beautiful as it was cold - and we thought it should be shared. Single digits, blowing snow and wind but beautiful all the same. The birds were still singing and the mustangs were glad to see us(or maybe it was the hay and alfalfa). Days like today make you feel even more alive. Enjoy.

Mowdy Ranch is hosting an Adoption Event and open house on October 5, 2019. The adoptions will start at 10:00 a.m. The BLM is still offering an adoption incentive for qualified adopters to receive $1000 for adopting a wild mustang. We will be giving out free hot dogs and chips and free hay rides through the pastures of wild mustangs. We have piles of pumpkins for the little ones to carve. We hope to see you at
the ranch!

Mowdy Ranch is hosting our second adoption event. The BLM is bringing over 25 horses that are available for adoption to qualified people. Better still, all the horses will be eligible for the adoption incentive program. After you adopt the horse for $25, the BLM will pay qualified adopters $500 and then after you keep the horse for 1 year, the BLM will pay you another $500. It's a good program for the BLM which allows them to place horses with good people for $1000 which is cheaper than paying for people to keep them on a monthly basis. It's a good deal for qualified persons who want a beautiful mustang to train and ride. It's a Win Win!

On Saturday we will have an open house with hay rides to see the wild mustangs out in the pastures and water melon for anyone who wants to come. Road Kings BBQ and a snow-cone stand will also be there. It will l be a great day. Come on out and adopt a horse. Hope to see you at the ranch.

ADOPTION TIME IS HERE...
Adopt A Mustang - August 3
Mowdy Ranch is hosting our second adoption event and open house on August 3. The BLM will bring at least 25 adoptable yearlings, 2-3 year olds and b***os that will be available for adoption. All of these animals will be a part of the new BLM adoption incentive program which allows the BLM to pay up to $1000 to qualified people who adopt on of these beautiful animals.

We hope to see you at the ranch on Saturday. The weather should be great, we will have donuts and coffee in the morning. Road Kings BBQ will be there, snow cones and watermelon as well. We will also be giving free tours and hayrides to everyone who would like to see the big herd of mustangs at Mowdy Ranch. Bring the kids and come on out. See you there!

OUR FIRST ADOPTION EVENT IN THE BAG

Thanks for all the people who made our 1st adoption event a great success! What a great day. All 21 horses and b***os were adopted to great homes. The weather was perfect, the BBQ was wonderful and all the people were fantastic. Thanks again to the great BLM staff who did so much work to make this happen. Our next adoption event will be on August 3rd. We are planning on having a semi load of horses for our next event. We hope to see everybody back then..

We are almost ready for the Adoption Event tomorrow! The horses are arriving as I type this. Gates open at 8am, horses and b***os will be offered starting at 10am. Complementary coffee and donuts in the morning followed by BBQ and snow cones available for purchase. Free ranch tours will be offered from 10am-2pm. We will have a horse trainer on sight all day offering free demonstrations and tips on how to train your new horse or b***o. The weather promises to be beautiful and it is going to be a fun day on the ranch. Come out and join us even if you are not ready to adopt yet. The only requirement is you must love horses!
