I’m so so sorry that I have been MIA this week! Normally I have posts scheduled almost a week at a time so I don’t have to worry about posting, but this week has been CRAZY!

I just started a new job this week and have been DEEP in training and information overload. I’m teaching online this school year, so things are very different than my last few years in the classroom.

What are YOU doing this weekend or what have you been up to this week?

We got to go to the county fair earlier this week and the girls have had cheer practice (especially Abby; she’s had 3 morning practices, helped at Ellie’s practice, had a tumbling class, cheer practice of her own, plus all day cheer choreography today!). I also went to a “sip and stitch” and learned to hand embroider a shirt (I’ll post the finished product in the comments!). This weekend, we have a birthday party and will be relaxing!

The memories we have made on our five cruises are ones we will talk about for the rest of our lives. ❤️ Watching a glacier in Alaska that has been there for thousands of years while the ship goes completely silent. Swimming to the Soggy Dollar Bar in the British Virgin Islands with soaking wet dollars and a huge smile. Tasting jerk chicken in Jamaica that ruined every other jerk chicken forever. Sitting on the deck at night with the whole ocean stretching out in every direction and not a single worry in the world. 🌊

🗒️PLAN EVERYTHING = Research the port, book excursions in advance, have a schedule, know exactly where you are going. You did not pay this much money to wander around lost.
🗺️ WING IT = You are on vacation. You will get off the ship, follow your nose, find the best local spot by accident, and have a story nobody else on the ship has. Planning is for the office.

We’re enjoying a slow, relaxing day at home today, and I’m taking advantage of the downtime to get a few things checked off my list. Okay cruise people, this might be the biggest debate we have ever started. 😬😅

🛳️ CARNIVAL = The fun ship. Affordable, lively, no attitude, great for first timers and people who want a party. Carnival people are LOYAL and they will come for us in the comments. We know.
🛳️ ROYAL CARIBBEAN = The experience ship. Bigger, more to do, incredible entertainment, pushing the limits of what a cruise ship can
even be. Royal fans do not mess around either.
