It's summertime, and we're seeing more people out enjoying Post Falls parks, pathways, sidewalks, and streets on all types of electric bikes and motorized vehicles.
Did you know that not every electric two-wheeled vehicle is considered an e-bike?
One of the biggest differences is whether the vehicle has factory-installed pedals. Vehicles with pedals may qualify as e-bikes, while those without pedals are generally classified differently and are subject to different rules and restrictions.
We've put together this quick guide to help residents understand the difference between e-bikes and e-motorcycles so everyone can ride safely, responsibly, and in the right places.
Understanding the rules helps keep our parks, pathways, sidewalks, and streets safe and enjoyable for everyone who uses them.
Take a moment to review the graphic and share it with family members, especially young riders. A little awareness goes a long way toward keeping our community safe this summer. ☀️🚲
