{𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥. 𝐚𝐫𝐭} it never gets old coming in to the inn after a guest has left to find sweet art and notes on our vintage chalkboard that was original to the local grade school. i’m reminded often how grateful we are to be a part of this community and this inn was never in the original “life” plan. i believe life works out the way it’s suppose to…

{𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚘. 𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚒𝚍𝚊𝚢𝚜} new sign. check . vintage urns filled with green christmas trees {thank you ashley from last summer that i forgot i had from you!} because that’s “your style“ unlike the pink ones you “thought would be cool“.. I know better... check. new QR code coming for the door since i guess it’s ok to “pop in“ on a current guest and ask “ how do i rent a room?“ {𝚗𝚘𝚝. 𝚔𝚒𝚍𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐} 😂

{squirrel. love} our .squirrel.inn is complete... is it ever? but when you commission the best sign painters and knowing they are crazy busy, you know you will patiently wait for the perfect sign for your sweet little . keeping it a secret for the last year of production, having it over three months because the inn has been booked and we've sorta been on the move with this thing called life, today was finally the day for installation... two plus years ago if you would if asked us if we would of ever owned this building and created a funky, artsy, squirrel themed inn that's brought hundreds of non locals from all over the country {and out of the country} to this little place we love to call "home" i'd say you are crazy, but this little idea worked, so thank you friends for the final piece to this sweet little puzzle. and lasts two years on a window by the way. those letters barely came off..

{𝚗𝚎𝚠.𝚜𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚕. 𝚊𝚍𝚍𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜} new post. minus too many damn pillows. new old black chairs for the .squirrel.inn dining room table look fantastic and much for functional for guests. eventually i want vintage original brown ones, but these are super great for now....

{𝚗𝚎𝚠.𝚜𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚕. 𝚊𝚍ditions} when you know. you know. it's only been a month since i got these amazing benches from my buddy dustin at for the inn and i finally had a chance where i didn't have guests today to sneak them in... they are the "perfect" addition to the decor! i'm so happy he had two matching ones for two matching vintage iron beds .... sweetly tucked at the end of each one... i hope guests enjoy them as much as i do for them...

{𝚜𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐. 𝚜𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚕. 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜} i’ve been wanting to update, finish, add to our little .squirrel.inn and last week was the perfect time. in a 100 year old building comes 100 year old problems, and our plumbing was “slow” so with the help of a local contractor, problem solved. you know, tree roots that i guaranteed have never been dealt with, have now been resolved… so while mr souers got the “fun job” with him, i got to add these amazing $35 matching cabinets {yes, each} and squirrel art i’ve been hoarding, {finally framed her big art piece she gifted me!}, new velvet bedding, new pillows from , new full length curtains from since shooting out the street light was never a solid option, a guest book for signings , and i stole my “nutty as a squirrel” sign from my studio created by that filled an empty spot perfect, and so much more. it’s much more balanced now, and a perfectly kitchy, vintage stay. so enjoy my amazing photos from .photo . she’s. amazing capturing what we’ve created this year.
