The countdown is officially on. In a month, we head to Providenciales. While I've been here before, this is my kid's first all-inclusive experience. I know my boys are going to absolutely love the wildlife, views and the endless activities.

Here are 5 things most people don't know about Turks & Caicos:

1. Only 5 True All-Inclusive Resorts: If you are looking for an all-inclusive experience like Mexico, this is not it. Because of that scarcity and the luxury tier of the destination, the price tag is fundamentally different. It's an investment, but booking a resort like Beaches means airport transfers, premium drinks, gratuities, dining, and land/water sports are completely covered—meaning you can actually leave your wallet in your room.

2. The Water is 'Protected': Grace Bay Beach is consistently voted one of the top beaches in the world because a massive barrier reef keeps the shoreline calm, safe, and vibrant turquoise. But just off that coast sits the Columbus Passage, where the sea floor plummets 7,000 feet down. My Plan: The boys loved snorkeling in Castaway Cay, so we are going to explore the marine life a few times.

3. Zero Chain Restaurants: Turks & Caicos is a 5-star independent culinary hub. Guests want to frequent the local dining. Beaches alone features over 20 international restaurants. My Plan: I need to hit the dining I missed last time, including most options in the French Village, Key West's Neptune's and Bayside, and of course everything at the brand-new Treasure Beach! Particularly Butch's Chophouse for my steak loving boys.

4. Iguana Island: You should explore! Booking an excursion to explore the surrounding cays—especially Little Water Cay (Iguana Island)—is an absolute must-do for families. My Plan: I'm taking the boys out to see these wild iguanas up close plus a clear kayak tour and a sandbar and snorkel cruise.

5. George Washington's Favorite Salt: The name "Caicos" comes from the island's original inhabitants, the Lucayan people, and translates to "string of islands." The islands were a global powerhouse for salt export. Turks sea salt was of such high purity that George Washington specifically requested it to supply and preserve food for his army during the Revolutionary War!

Booking is easy, it's the rest of the planning that's hard.

Why should I book my vacation with a travel advisor when I can do it myself?

It’s a fair question! Anyone can go online, click a few buttons, and book a hotel room. But here is the difference between a "cookie-cutter" trip and a custom travel experience:

When you book online, a computer algorithm doesn't know that your younges needs an afternoon nap, that your husband wants a killer view from the balcony, or that you are NEED top-tier coffee to start your morning

My job isn't just booking a reservation. It's learning exactly how your family likes to move, eat, relax, and explore—and then engineering a seamless vacation from the moment you head to the airport until you walk back through your front door.

Let’s do some travel vulnerability today. What is the biggest mistake you've ever made on vacation?

I'll start. One of our family trips to Orlando, Mike had ALL of his clothes in one checked bag. You can guess what happened—the bag got lost, but luckily it arrived around 5am the next morning.

Now, that we're more experienced, I enforce a strict "Survival Carry-On" rule.
No matter how short the flight is, your carry-on should always include:
🛅All medications and essential electronics/chargers.
🛅One change of clothes (and a swimsuit if you're heading straight to a resort or cruise ship!).
🛅Your core identification and travel documents.
🛅Include a Tile Tracker or Air Tag in each checked bag so we can monitor where they are.

Basically what you need for the first 24 hours should your bag head somewhere else.

If the airline misplaces your luggage, it’s an inconvenience—but it won't ruin day one of your vacation because you have your survival kit ready to go.

Alright, your turn to make me feel better! What's a travel mishap you’ve experienced that taught you a valuable lesson? Drop it below! 👇

Planning a cruise for later this year or early next year? Let's talk about the #1 mistake people make before they even step foot on the ship.

The mistake? Booking a flight that lands the morning your cruise departs.

I get the temptation—you want to save money on a hotel night and minimize time off work. But with the state of airline delays, cancellations, and summer weather disruptions, flying in on embarkation day is playing Russian roulette with your vacation.

If your flight is delayed by even a few hours, the ship will sail without you, and catching up to it at the next port is a logistical nightmare (and incredibly expensive).

The Fix: Always fly in the afternoon or evening before your cruise.
You get to wake up stress-free on embarkation morning.
You can enjoy a relaxed breakfast and head to the port completely refreshed.
Your vacation actually starts a day early!

When I build cruise vacation for my clients, I always bake in a great pre-cruise hotel stay because peace of mind is worth every single penny.

Have you ever flown in the day of your cruise?? 😱

We are officially in the peak of summer vacation season. ☀️

If you are currently sitting poolside or sweating through a land vacation thinking, "Man, I love this, but I am tired of pulling out my credit card for every single meal, soda, and activity," it might be time to look at the ocean.

One of the biggest misconceptions about cruise vacations is that they aren't "all-inclusive." While they operate a little differently than a traditional Caribbean beach resort, and they are all different the built-in value is incredible:
✔️ Your accommodations move with you to multiple tropical destinations (unpack once!)
✔️ World-class dining is included around the clock—from upscale three-course dinners to casual pool-side grab-and-go spots.
✔️ Broadway-caliber entertainment, live music, comedy clubs, and massive kids' clubs are completely covered.
✔️Plus you can even add on features to make it TRULY all inclusive like drink packages and wi-fi.

If you want a vacation where the logistics are handled and the base costs are locked in before you even step on board, a cruise is the ultimate stress-reliever.

Where is your dream cruise destination? Are you team Caribbean beach or team Alaska?

"Is Disney Club Level actually worth the money?"

I get asked this question a lot, and as a travel advisor, my answer is always: It completely depends on how you like to do Disney Let’s break down the realities so you can decide if it's the right fit for your family.

❌ Skip Club Level if: You are a "rope-drop-to-park-close" warrior. If your family leaves the resort at 7:00 AM and doesn't crawl back into bed until the park sweeps, you will completely miss the perks. Paying a premium for a lounge you never see is a major vacation math fail!

Or if you are like my family and prefer table service meals at the fabulous restaurants on property. Having experienced a few club levels myself - I can say that there isn't a lot my kids would eat. They would be living off of sugar most likely - endless Mickey bars, soda, cereal and candy!

✔ Book Club Level if: You love a resort-focused vacation style. If you like to head back to the hotel for a mid-day swim, enjoy a quiet afternoon break, or sleep in, it is a game-changer. If you plan to use it every morning for breakfast and even dinner- that's a huge win!

What you get:
🛎Access to an exclusive lounge with complimentary food and drinks served all day (continental breakfast, afternoon snacks, evening appetizers, and wine/beer/desserts at night).
🛎A dedicated concierge team to handle any last-minute logistics or dining requests.
🛎A quiet, uncrowded sanctuary to decompress away from the theme park chaos.

For families who utilize the lounge for breakfast and evening wind-downs, the convenience and savings on dining out can easily balance the cost—while elevating the entire trip into a true luxury experience.

Have you ever stayed Club Level? Or is it on your vacation bucket list? Let me know below!

It's July 1st so you know what that means? We're planning for Christmas at Walt Disney World! ❄️

Why does this matter to you while you're packing your swimsuits for summer vacay? Because the moment those official dates drop for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights, the race for space officially begins.

Here is why a November/December trip is worth planning right now:
🏰 Magic Kingdom Transforms: Savoring complimentary hot cocoa and cookies in the "snow" on Main Street, U.S.A. during the Christmas parade.
🎬 Hollywood Glam: Jollywood Nights is returning with that upscale, jazzy, old-Hollywood holiday vibe that adults absolutely love.
🍪 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays: Tasting seasonal treats from global kitchens and listening to the breathtaking Candlelight Processional.

You don't need to have every detailed figured out now - If you even think you want to see the castle lit up this winter, let’s get your room booked now so we can book tickets when they go on sale on January 9th.

Let’s play a game of Disney "Would You Rather?"

My recent stay at Walt Disney World was a split stay between two resorts from two different resort categories. It got me thinking about how two completely different resorts can both be the "perfect" choice depending on how you like to vacation.

If you were booking a Disney getaway right now, which side are you picking?

⚜️ Option 1: Port Orleans - French Quarter
The Vibe: Small, quiet, and romantic with gorgeous cobblestone streets and fresh beignets. A cute themed pool, cafe and evening entertainment.
The Strategy: Save some cash on the room so you can spend your budget on dining or extra park days. You're fine taking the bus because you plan to be in the parks from rope drop to fireworks anyway!

🏖️ Option 2: Disney's Beach Club Resort
The Vibe: Upscale coastal relaxation featuring Stormalong Bay—the absolute best sand-bottom pool on Disney property. Plus endless fabulous dining options across Crescent Lake and within walking distance at Epcot.
The Strategy: High-end convenience. You are paying a premium to literally walk into EPCOT's International Gateway in 5 minutes, take the Skyliner or a boat to Hollywood Studios, and easily take mid-day pool breaks when the summer heat peaks.

So which would you choose?
💰 Save and Spree at French Quarter
🏖️ or team Pool and Proximity at Beach Club?
Let's see who wins! 👇
