Marilee and Kelly. Our first big snow on Pikes Peak of the season. The mountain wasn't open to the summit. It was originally open to mile 13, which is called Glen Cove. Marilee decided to just go for it and see what the day brings.

They weren't open to the summit, but they were open to mile 16 at the time we met. By the time we got there, it was open to mile 18 (of the total of 19 miles). While we didn't make it to the summit, we got close. They also decided to hike with me to the top of Devil's Playground...which is my favorite place on the mountain.

Beautiful views. Beautiful day. Fresh snow. Aspen trees are still kicking. Great people. Thank you Marilee and Kelly for going for it. We ended up with way more than initially expected.

And thanks to the Pikes Peak road crew for getting the highway open as far as we could make it.

We've done a few of our new Pikes Peak Region Trifecta tours.

Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and Manitou Springs. That's the three attractions you must experience while visiting the Pikes Peak Region and this tour does them all!

This tour covers a lot of ground and more is included than booking our Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods tour seperately. We do some more hiking and spending more time at some of the more interesting areas. And it is a private tour for your group!

You just don't know what the mountain gives you. This is the difference of just a few minutes. Clouds at the summit, open skies just a few minutes later.

We went through clouds, snow, and graupel but we did make it the summit, just prior to them closing the highway. There wasn't much views at the summit, but it all cleared up on the way down with some great views. It was a Pikes Peak adventure. Unique.

The Fuell family....such a wonderful, fun, and adventurous family. I loved the tour today. There are some experiences that are just different than others due to Pikes Peak weather. This day was one of them.
