🚨 Headlines don’t always tell the whole story. A good travel advisor does.

When Puerto Rico made the news because of water rationing, my clients immediately reached out with concerns.

Instead of telling them, “Don’t worry about it,” I did what I always do…

✔️ I researched the affected areas.

✈️ THE COMEBACK CHRONICLES: CHAPTER TWO

Sometimes the best investment you can make in your business is an investment in yourself.

When I decided that Peace of Mind Travel Services was entering its Comeback Season, one of my first decisions was to rejoin the Travel Gang Circle.

I knew that if I wanted to build something stronger, I needed to surround myself with people who understand this industry, challenge me to grow, and remind me that we’re never too experienced to become students again.

I’ve been in business for almost 10 years, and one thing I know for sure is this:

You should never stop learning.

The travel industry is constantly changing. New destinations emerge. Resorts evolve. Technology changes. Client expectations change.

And I want to continue evolving, too.

Rejoining this community represents something bigger for me.

It’s me saying YES to investing in myself again.

YES to rebuilding my confidence.

YES to learning.

✈️ THE COMEBACK CHRONICLES: CHAPTER ONE: A New Season Begins. 🤍

Peace of Mind Travel Services has officially entered its Comeback Season.

Over the past 12 months, things may have seemed quieter around here. Behind the scenes, I’ve has been navigating one of the most challenging seasons of my life; balancing a demanding career, personal loss, health challenges, and the continued grief of losing her mother.

There were moments when walking away from the business felt easier.

But sometimes, the quiet seasons are where the greatest transformation happens.

For the first time in nine years of business, we’ve experienced our first chargeback dispute. Although the dispute was decided in our favor, the experience became an unexpected turning point.

Instead of giving up, we chose to grow.

We took a closer look at our systems, processes, SOPs, terms and conditions, ideal travelers, and the experience we want every client to have.

Because our name isn’t just our brand.

It’s our promise: Peace of Mind. 🤍

And even during a challenging season, there were beautiful reminders of why we do what we do.

We successfully coordinated our first European destination wedding in beautiful Spain 🇪🇸 and helped clients create memories in Jamaica, St. Thomas, Punta Cana, Portugal, and beyond. 🌍

And now, we’re preparing for what’s next.

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth—a powerful reminder of the day in 1865 when the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It’s more than just a historical milestone—Juneteenth represents resilience, hope, and the ongoing journey toward liberation in all its forms.

Over the past 18 months, I’ve been navigating a deeply personal battle with grief and depression following the loss of my mother. In that season, I made the decision to pause my business and prioritize my healing. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.

I now understand freedom in a whole new way—not just political or physical, but mental and spiritual freedom. The kind of freedom that allows you to say, “I need rest.” The kind of freedom that reminds you it’s okay to start over. The kind of freedom that gives you the courage to return to yourself.

So today, as we honor the past, I also celebrate a rebirth.

Thank you to every client, supporter, friend, and sister in travel who stood beside me, prayed for me, or simply held space while I healed. Your love carried me.
