🍂 Not a bad view at the office today. 🍂

I captured this shot during a 6-Hour Tour that paired Pikes Peak - America's Mountain with a trip to Victor, Colorado to visit Rita the Rock Planter. The aspens were dancing and showing off along Highway 67 - but they are definitely on the other side of "peak."

The fall colors, perfectly still water, cloud reflections, and Pikes Peak all decided to cooperate at the same time.

A recent client captured this photo of me getting acquainted with a gentle ambassador at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

It was a quick, bit cool, experience.

I didn't have pouring liquid electrolytes into an elephant's trunk on my 2026 bingo card!! 😆

September was a busy month for the YETI... the best yet!

Every reservation with Colorado Yeti Tours means I get to introduce someone to a place I’m lucky enough to call home. But one of my favorite parts comes after the tours are over and the miles are logged.

Thanks to everyone who explored the Pikes Peak Region with the YETI this month, $200 is headed to One Tree Planted.

You came for the mountains, the views, the history, and maybe a high-altitude donut or two. 🍩🏔️

The aspens are putting on their annual show right now, with brilliant yellows and golds lighting up the mountainsides along the drive toward the summit.

But fall on Pikes Peak comes with a reminder...

Conditions can change FAST.

One minute you’re cruising through glowing aspens. A few miles later, you can be above tree line surrounded by thick fog with dramatically reduced visibility.

That’s just part of experiencing a mountain that climbs to 14,115 feet.

The colors are beautiful right now, but the window is short. If Pikes Peak is on your Colorado Springs itinerary, this is a pretty spectacular time to experience the highway.

Golden aspens - Incredible mountain views... and occasionally... a disappearing mountain.

Another Harvest Fest at the McAllister House Museum has come and gone. After a few days of mostly cloudy skies and rain, the sun popped back out and provided a great day of weather for the entire event!

Thank you to the McAllister House Museum for hosting another great event and for inviting the YETI again!

YOWLER enjoyed seeing old friends and making some new ones!

"SO GLAD my husband and I decided to take the 10-hour tour with Wes at YETI tours!! We felt the tour was safe, relaxed, customized to us and overall - very enjoyable and well worth the money.

We really appreciated Wes’s organization and ex*****on of the entire day! His easy-going personality, knowledge of local history and excellent driving made for a relaxed and fulfilling day. From the initial contact, Wes very communicative and interested in customizing the 10-hour day based on our interests. His approach is very professional and includes a well-defined web page of tour choices to select from. A few days before the tour, he presents an itinerary for the day for our review/approval. The plan allowed us to visit not only our top choices of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods, but also Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City and Helen Hunt Falls. He also worked in restaurant suggestions, allowing us to have a nice lunch break at a brewery in Manitou Springs.

So glad we took the tour with Wes rather the Cog Railway up to Pikes Peak. It was more peaceful than the cog train and he stopped at key scenic overlooks along the way for viewing and pictures. The personalized attention was excellent, and the YETI SUV was very clean and comfortable; not to mention that Wes was an excellent driver around all the hair-pin switchbacks. My husband was thrilled to NOT drive and to give 100% of his attention to the gorgeous views!

One thing I also liked is that Wes remained engaged with us the whole time. He never dropped us off and disappeared; he walked with us pointing out local information in Manitou and Garden of the Gods. He navigated the roads in Garden of the Gods around the crowds to get us to all the key locations, helped us spot wildlife, and even made sure we were safe while navigating the rock features. Not only was Wes a great guide for the sites, but we was also our personal photographer!

During the tour, Wes was very flexible and added a surprise impromptu drive through The Broadmoor based on our discussions in the car. We enjoyed meeting, chatting with, and getting to know Wes throughout the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour!"
