You never know what you might find when you get off the couch and go do something!!!

A Pike jumped out of the water likely chasing prey and got stuck in a branch and died. Now, a bird has made a nest its mouth. One of the most interesting pictures I've seen.

A family from California, enjoyed a morning paddle on Cedar Creek at the Congaree National Park.
The excursion included sightings of various brown water snakes, spiders, and turtles, as well as owls monitoring our activities from surprisingly a short distance.

Our folks today enjoyed paddling on Cedar Creek this morning in the Congaree National Park.
A few snakes and spiders were seen, including a couple of turtles enjoying the sun. The owls were out close by checking us out.

We enjoyed another perfect day paddling on Cedar Creek. Our group of fun folks enjoyed a peaceful trip while in the Congaree National Park.
Barred owls were out, one letting us get good pictures. A couple of large snakes and an Great Heron flying in the distance were only part of today's entertainment.

Snakes, owls and spiders were out. A few turtles were out too getting some sun.

This afternoon's paddle on Cedar creek, in the Congaree National Park, was quite the adventure for a few hardy folks. Flooding was on tap due to recent storms. But our group managed the obstacles.
Turtles, snakes, and piliated woodpeckers made their appearances. A Momma fishing spider was getting some sun and a juvenile owl was out on a nearby tree limb, curious as we passed by.

This afternoon's paddle was enjoyed by a few folks while on Cedar creek, in the Congaree National Park.
Some flooding and gray skies were all part of the adventure. As the skies cleared, natured came back with turtles, snakes. Several few piliated woodpeckers were chatting to each other throughout our trip, and a fishing spider holding on to her babies in a white sack.

A fun afternoon was had by a group of folks looking for a small adventure with an afternoon paddle on Cedar creek, in the Congaree National park.
A few snakes, big and small, were out soaking up the sun, as were a few turtles. A rare sight of a white-tailed doe, out sleeping near the rivers edge.

We had a wonderful afternoon paddle with a fun group of folks on Cedar creek, in the Congaree National Park.
Owls and snakes were out, with other new bird species flying around, checking out the park.

A nice couple enjoyed a nice quiet paddle down Cedar creek in the Congaree National park this morning. Got see snakes and curious a young owl.
