Our fun group had a nice paddle down Cedar Creek in the Congaree National Park.
We saw a juvenile blue heron poking around for fish, allowing us to get quite close for viewing. We also saw a juvenile copperhead snake swimming in the water with his little green tail letting us know how young it still is. We also spied a river otter slowly making its way down the path to a fisherman, no doubt hoping for a free dinner.

We had a few folks enjoying a quiet peaceful afternoon paddle down Cedar Creek, in the Congaree National Park.
We saw a few painted shell turtles basking in the sun, and a barred owl was up on a branch as we passed. But this one was a little shy and we hardly saw its face.

We had a nice small group paddle with us down Cedar Creek, on the Congaree National Park. We saw a beaver dam, and for a brief moment, a turtle before it darted off into the water. A medium sized fishing spider was seen and several Pileated woodpeckers were heard chatting in the forest. It was a peaceful quiet ride through our swamp.
