Active Travel by Clare at Forest Lake Travel

Active Travel by Clare at Forest Lake Travel I specialize in trips to amazing destinations for nature lovers and culturally curious travelers that will enlighten and enrich your life.

I was born and raised in South Africa and lived in London, Los Angeles and Chicago before moving to South Carolina in 1995. Along the way I worked as a destination specialist for a leading African safari tour operator which deepened my first hand knowledge of this complex area of the world. Whatever your interests are, I believe that all we truly own are our memories. We should invest in customized, authentic travel experiences to create a collection of the best memories possible.

South Africa and the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve should be on every birding enthusiasts bucket list... I stayed here last year and the highly trained guides really go the extra mile to help you find and identify some of the most spectacular birds in the world.... as well as the Big Five of course!

With hundreds of different species – including some which are listed as rare and vulnerable – Sabi Sabi is a birdwatchers paradise.
