I currently have TWO groups of clients kicking off their Walt Disney World vacations at Animal Kingdom, and it made me think about how much this park gets misunderstood.

Animal Kingdom gets a LOT of love… and a LOT of hate. 😂 And I hear it all the time:

“It’s just a zoo.”

Ummm… NOPE. 😉

Yes, there are incredible animal encounters, but there is SO much more!

🦁 Festival of the Lion King
🦅 Feathered Friends in Flight
🏔️ Expedition Everest
🌌 Avatar Flight of Passage
🌍 Amazing cultural experiences
🐒 Kilimanjaro Safaris
🌿 And the Wilderness Explorers program, with stations throughout the park where Cast Members teach kids about animals, nature, and conservation.

And honestly, the attention to detail in Animal Kingdom is unlike anything else at Walt Disney World. Everywhere you look, there’s something to discover.

It’s beautiful. It’s immersive. It’s educational. And yes… it can absolutely be a FULL day of Disney fun if you slow down and actually take the time to enjoy it. ❤️

So if Animal Kingdom has been sitting at the bottom of your Disney park list because someone told you “it’s just a zoo”… maybe it’s time to give it another look. 😉

You can ChatGPT your vacation… but who are you calling when something goes wrong? 😂✈️

Listen, AI isn’t going anywhere. And honestly? It can be a GREAT tool. 🤖

But I’ve had people tell me, “Shannon, I basically ChatGPT’d my whole vacation… and now I’m still confused.” 😂

Because a vacation isn’t always just dates, hotels and tickets.

It’s coordinating a multi-generational family with completely different interests. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

It’s helping my band families work vacations around competitions, performances and schedules. 🎺

It’s knowing which little details you didn’t even realize you needed to think about until you’re standing in the middle of the park saying…

“Well crap. Now what?” 😂

That’s where I come in.

You think it’s hard getting four different households to agree on where to go for dinner? 😂

Now try planning a family vacation together.

I just booked FOUR rooms at Wilderness Lodge for a multi-generational family heading to Disney in February! 🏰🌲✨

And there are A LOT of moving pieces when you’re coordinating a vacation for multiple households.

Which resort?
Dining plan or no dining plan?
Where are we eating?
What does everyone want to do?
How are we getting from the airport?

And then there’s always that one little thing…

“Well, I thought THEY wanted to do that.” 😂

That’s where I come in.

I coordinate with everyone, make sure each household has a voice, help sort through the options, and act as the sounding board when opinions don’t quite line up.
