It’s wild how fast summers start flying by the older your kids get.
One minute you’re packing snacks, tying shoes, and chasing little feet around the house… and the next, they’re taller than you, driving off, graduating, and starting lives of their own.
Someone once said you really only get around 18 summers with your kids at home. Just 18.
And when you think about it like that… the laundry can wait sometimes. The dishes aren’t going anywhere. The bills will still be there tomorrow. Life is always busy, and there’s always something that needs done.
But those moments?
Watching your kid’s face light up walking down Main Street, U.S.A. for the first time…
The late-night laughs.
The hugs after fireworks.
The memories you make together.
That’s the stuff they’ll remember forever.
And honestly… you will too.
As parents, we spend so much time trying to give our kids everything. But sometimes the best thing we can give them is just our time and being there with them.
So take the trip.
Make the memory.
Pause for a minute and watch your kids soak in the magic while they still want to hold your hand along the way. ✨
