Las Palmas last year ➡️ Poznań this year! 🇵🇱
Attending the European Travel Agent Forum in Gran Canaria in 2025 was incredibly valuable. I made so many wonderful connections with suppliers, tourism bureaus, and fellow advisors, and I came home with ideas and relationships that have already benefited my clients.
That’s why I’m so honored to have been selected to attend again this year! 🙏
This time I’m flying into Warsaw first, where a few advisor friends and I will explore the city and pay our respects at Treblinka. Then we’ll hop on the train to Poznań for the forum. 🚆
I can’t wait to:
✨ Discover new parts of Poland
🤝 Make amazing new connections
🥐 Try the famous St. Martin’s croissants before I fly home on the 11th, which is both St. Martin’s Day and Polish Independence Day!

We spent 3 nights in where we went up to do the where it was a little drizzly but still fun. We had incredible alpine macaroni for lunch! That afternoon we went to a goat show in town. Then the next day the highest point in Europe at the where we got to see snow, walk on the glacier, shop at and eat yet again! Wonderful few days!

We took the from Zermatt to Chur and then the next day we took the car train on the way to . We stopped at on the way!

Monday in Zermatt: glaciers, ice tunnels, and a hike we’ll be talking about for a while 🏔️❄️
We started the day with a walk to the cable car station and rode up to Glacier Paradise. Inside the glacier, we wandered through ice tunnels lined with sculptures carved from the ice itself, then stepped outside to some of the best views of the Matterhorn you could ask for.
From there we took the cable car down to Furi and set off on foot to hike down the mountain. Along the way we stopped for a lunch at Blatten that made every step worth it: alpine macaroni with potatoes and applesauce (a Swiss classic!), a slice of zwetschgen plum cake for dessert, and live music to top it all off. 🎶
I’ll be honest, the hike was a bit more challenging than we expected, especially for those of us “of a certain age.” 😄 But we did it together, and the views, the food, and the laughs made it unforgettable.
This is what I love about hosting trips: a perfect mix of “wow” moments, local flavor, and a pace that lets guests soak it all in (with a little challenge for the adventurous!).

Sunday in Zermatt was one of those days you plan a whole trip around. 🏔️
We left Montreux this morning and arrived in Zermatt, then hopped aboard the Gornergrat Railway for a ride up the mountain. The reward at the top: front-row views of the Matterhorn, standing tall against a bright blue sky.
We took our time, too. Lunch outdoors with that view in front of us, sunshine on our faces, and temperatures milder than anyone expected for the Alps this time of year. Moments like this are exactly why I love hosting small group journeys. No rushing, no checklist, just great company and a setting that stops conversation mid-sentence.

**Day 2 in Switzerland: a dream almost 50 years in the making 🐄🔔**

When I was little, my grandparents came home from Switzerland with a slideshow, and one image stayed with me: cows dressed up in flower crowns and huge bells, parading down from the mountains. I’ve thought about them ever since.

On Saturday, I finally saw it for myself.

Saturday morning in Charmey, we watched the alpine descent festival, with cows, goats, and alphorns echoing through the valley. The sun was out, the mountains were showing off, and the sound of all those bells was even better than I’d imagined.

After that, we headed to Gruyère to see how the famous cheese is made, and of course we did a little tasting. (For research. Obviously.) 🧀

Some trips are about checking off a destination. This one is about closing the loop on a childhood memory, and getting to share it with a wonderful group of travelers.

In today's edition of "Where's Amber" - I'm hopefully here - in Chamonix. I couldn't get this close to Mont Blanc and not try to see it. I'm excited to visit this alpine town and hopefully see the famous peak before heading to Montreux with my group of 14 travelers! 🇨🇭 🇨🇭

Why do you need at least 12 hands to get the airline app to upload a photo of your passport? Hold your passport, hold your phone sideways, make sure there is plenty of light but not so much that there is any glare…..
