As many of you may have heard by now, Disney Genie+ is going away later this week. I want to try and give you some idea of what these changes are and how you, the guest, may be affected. Here we go!

Beginning on July 24, 2024, Disney Genie+ becomes Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Individual Lightning Lane becomes Lightning Lane Single Pass.

For Disneyland, the name is all that is changing. The functions and accessibility remain the same as Disney Genie+.

However, for Walt Disney World guests, it's a whole new world!

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, including Swan and Dolphin, and Shades of Green Resort, you will be able to plan before you arrive at Walt Disney World. You must be in the U.S. to make plans prior to arrival.

On property reservations will allow you to purchase LLMP before you get to WDW. Advance Lightning Lane purchases are for one Theme Park per day, but once you use your first selection, you can make plans at another park, provided you have Parkhoppers! You can choose up to three (3) Lightning Lane experiences pre-arrival. Once you enter the park of your choice, you can book another LL after you use one. Maintaining a total of 3 experiences as you go about your day.

Like Multi Pass, you can purchase Single Pass in advance. You can purchase up to two (2) per day. Currently, the choices are the same as ILL. There is no crossover between Multi-Pass and Single-Pass attractions. These selections can be made prior to purchase. You will be required to complete payment to use LLs.

You can make selections for Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lighning Lane Single Pass in one step. You will place items in your Cart and pay for them at the same time.

Once you have linked your Resort Reservation to the My Disney Experience App, you an begin planning your experiences up to seven (7) days prior to check-in, and make all of your days selections up to 14 day stays. The number of park days on your admission will determine the number of days to plan.

If you are a guest coming from outside the U.S., you can make your selections once you are on U.S. soil.

Walt Disney World released a new discount today. Here is what we know about it!

You can save up to 20% most Sunday to Thursday nights beginning October 6, through November 21, 2024, and November 24 through December 8, 2024. Discounts and dates may vary with chosen resort and package. Some availability may be limited as well!

Most nights December 9 through December 25, 2024 will have a discount up to 30% off.

As an added bonus, if you book a room and ticket package, you will get free Park Hopper access with purchase of a nondiscounted 4-day or longer base ticket.

This is a lot like the oldish Fastpass system when it went to online booking. I like this change, but not crazy about the names. I am working to make sense of all of this and will be ready to answer your questions soon!

I don’t know about you, but attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has become a holiday tradition for me and my loved ones! Nothing beats experiencing the joy and holiday spirit this separately ticketed event brings to Magic Kingdom Park.
This year, you can look forward to a new merchandise collection featuring exclusive apparel, trading pins and more – perfect for holiday gifting or keepsakes. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale July 10.
