We are in desperate need of help. We have taken on several dogs with injuries that required special surgeries and mixed in with those, we are dealing with a hoarding case and have taken in over 50 cats and kittens on top of the 30+ we already had. We are in need of monetary donations more than anything, due to the expenses at the vets offices. We also need cat and kitten food and we have this list over at our website: www.hsmcohio.org

Mt. Sterling Friends of the Library present a Virtual Victorian Springtime Teatime! Save the date for Saturday, April 10 at 2 p.m. This event is in place of the always popular Annual Victorian Sweetheart Tea. Wear your favorite Victorian style hat or top and join us with your own cup of tea while we have fun playing some tea trivia, bring your tea themed items to show-and-tell, learn about tea history and etiquette, bid on tea and basket themed items for a worthy cause, and more! Sigiriya or Sinhagiri (Lion Rock) is an ancient rock fortress located in the Northern Matale region of Dambulla in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological importance, dominated by a large rock column about 200 meters high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan Culavamsa chronicles, it was chosen as the capital by King Kasyapa (477-495 AD). The king built his palace on this rock and adorned the sides with colorful frescoes.
In an area halfway through this rock, the name of a tremendous tremendous Sigiriya is from the structure called Sıhāgiri from the Lion Ski. After the king's death, the capital and the royal palace were abandoned. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century.
In 1982, Sigiriya was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Sigiriya is one of the best preserved examples of ancient city planning.
