Update: Home. Flight canceled. I was able to call the three hotels we had booked and asked them to please not charge me, which they all agreed they would do. Thank you to the IHG brand for the excellent customer service (being a loyal 10-year Platinum level member didn’t hurt).
Back at it again! With all of the supply chain and staffing issues, getting to the airport early has become our norm, but today was super quick, like the good old days. Unfortunately, Starbucks isn’t open - how do we live in a world where the airport Starbucks isn’t open?!
Also, as you know, I got vaccinated as soon as I was eligible and I’m so glad I didn’t try to travel before that. Today, for example, our fellow travelers have decided they don’t need to wear their masks if they are talking on the phone or sitting in the gate area, which clearly isn’t the rule. But, I don’t actually care! You do you, fellow traveler - just don’t cause a scene and make me late!
