Sign the petition against running the largest power lines (in Texas) 765 kilovolt, through the Hill Country. Please sign the petition by Sept 3. A link to the online petition is in the comments.
Several of the proposed lines run around Frio Cave and throughout the flight range and hunting grounds of the bats from several other caves in the Hill County as well.
Please keep in mind that the bats are covering up to a 100 mile radius from each of the colonies, and are consuming up to their body weight in agricultural pest moths every night. Potentially over 120 tons per night from Frio Cave alone.
This line is essentially an extension cord that connects the wind farms in west Texas with its customers in San Antonio.
