Professor Julian Jefferson, who teaches professional responsibility courses, spoke with the NH Bulletin about former Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington and accusations that she was an opioid lobbyist.

Critics of Warmington, the Democratic candidate who launched a campaign challenging Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte, is facing mounting criticism for promoting OxyContin and defending the pharmaceutical industry.

“Everything that she did, at least looking at it objectively, was completely within the bounds of representing her client,” Jefferson said to the Bulletin. “In fact, she had an obligation to represent her client, to be a zealous advocate for her client within professional norms, to really vigorously pursue her clients’ interests.”

Assistant Dean for Career and Academic Advising Neil Sirota recently spoke to LLM GUIDE to discuss how internships play a crucial role in a graduate's career during and after an LL.M.

“The key thing is making sure you're thinking about transferable skills… and making sure an employer is aware of that is crucially important, and that means getting as specific as you can with the skills you're listing in your résumé,” Neil shares with LLM Guide.

He also states how important it is to avoid relying on artificial intelligence to write your résumé and cover letter, no matter how efficient or tempting the prospect is.

Congratulations to Judge Michael Arthur Caves, (LLM, '15), who received a Fulbright Specialist Award from the the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Judge Caves of the Superior Court of California, County of Kern, will conduct a variety of educational training activities within the field of law at National Law University of Odisha in India.

Judge Caves is one of more than 400 U.S. citizens who share their expertise with institutions abroad through the FSP each year.
