The 2026 Concord Taco Trail Challenge is almost here!!! 🌮🌮🌮

From September 15 through October 15, taco lovers can explore participating local restaurants and taquerias across Concord and take on the ultimate taco adventure.

Pick up a free Taco Trail Challenge Card and map at the Concord Visitor Center or any participating restaurant, then visit taquerias throughout the city, collect stickers, and see how many stops you can check off along the way. 🗺️

The participant with the most stickers will be crowned the 2026 Taco Trail Champion and win a $250 taco party plus taco themed swag! 🌮

Visitors can also help choose this year’s Fan Favorite Taqueria and Best Salsa!

The fun starts early at the Taco Trail Kickoff Party on Friday, September 11 from 5 to 7 PM at Las Montañas. Stop by for free tacos, mariachi music, and a beverage to kick off this year’s trail!

September is International Color Blindness Awareness Month! 🎨

Color vision deficiency affects approximately 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women, yet it can often go unnoticed or be misunderstood.

This month, Visit Concord is joining EnChroma in helping raise awareness and encourage more inclusive, colorful experiences for everyone.

EnChroma glasses are designed to help people with certain types of color vision deficiency experience an expanded range of color.

Sultan’s Kebab is bringing its popular Mediterranean cuisine to Todos Santos Plaza, with a new Concord location expected to open within the next few months.

Recently featured in The Mercury News, Sultan’s Kebab is known for halal Turkish style kebabs grilled over charcoal, along with fresh bread and rice, garlic feta fries, shawarma, salads, baklava, and more.

The restaurant is expanding its Bay Area presence with its new Concord location, which will also feature a patio.

Coffee lovers, there’s a new spot coming to Concord! ☕️

As reported by Patch, Philz Coffee is opening its first Concord location at The Willows Shopping Center.

The new shop will feature Philz’s signature pour over coffee, made to order drinks, and a custom mural by Bay Area artist Alexandra Bowman.
