And apparently I couldn't walk past the Derby hats without trying on a few! 😂👒 I mean, when you're at Churchill Downs, you have to get into the Derby spirit, right?! I'm not sure I found THE winning hat, but I sure had fun trying! 🤣

Day 4 – Blessings in the Bluegrass! 🐎🌹

Another great day in Kentucky! After breakfast and loading up the coach, we headed to Louisville and the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs!

What a fun time we had! We watched The Greatest Race film, got to see Churchill Downs and learn more about the history and excitement of the Kentucky Derby, and then everyone got creative making and decorating their very own Lucky Shoe! There were definitely some masterpieces in this group! 😂 We also enjoyed a really great lunch at the Derby Café, complete with Kentucky Hot Brown casserole, BBQ pulled pork and Derby Pie bars. YUMMY!!🤣😉

Afterwards, everyone had some free time to explore the museum and, of course, make their way through the gift shop!

Then it was off to Indianapolis for our final night!

One thing is for sure… we have NOT gone hungry on this trip! 🤣 We’ve had so many wonderful meals, buffets and goodies along the way that I’m pretty sure nobody wants to see a scale when we get home! 😂 But hey… calories eaten on a DJ Country Tour don’t count, right?! 🤣

Tomorrow we’re Iowa bound after another wonderful Blessings in the Bluegrass adventure! ❤️

Day 3 – Blessings in the Bluegrass!

What another great day in Kentucky! We started with breakfast at the hotel and then headed to the incredible Ark Encounter in Williamstown. We had plenty of time to explore the massive three-deck, full-size replica of Noah’s Ark, visit the zoo, do a little shopping, enjoy lunch at Emzara’s Kitchen, and take in some wonderful Christian music.

After a quick stop back at the hotel to freshen up, we were off again for our BB Riverboats Captain’s Dinner Cruise! We enjoyed a delicious dinner while cruising the Ohio River and taking in the beautiful Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky skylines.

Another full day of fun, food, fellowship and lots of laughs! From Noah’s Ark to a riverboat all in one day… apparently if it floats, I’m putting these people on it! 🤣 And now I think I’ve finally worn them out… although knowing this group, I probably shouldn’t count on it! 😂❤️

DAY 2 – BLESSINGS IN THE BLUEGRASS!

Good morning from Kentucky! After breakfast, we were off for a fun day at the Creation Museum, exploring, enjoying the beautiful grounds (Botanical gardens, zoo, etc.) grabbing some lunch, and taking in some great live music! 🎶

Tonight it’s back to Florence for dinner at Golden Corral and a little relaxation!

And good news… the voice is better today! 🎉 I was told not to talk much, but we all know how THAT’S going! 🤣 If it works, I’m using it! 😂

Day 1 — Blessings in the Bluegrass!

And we’re off and running… AGAIN!

I’m supposed to be taking it easy on the talking and giving this voice of mine a rest… but y’all know me! 🤣🤐 That may be the biggest challenge of the whole tour!
