I get asked about “Guaranteed” cabins on Disney Cruise Line a lot. At first glance, it seems like a no brainer. You’re guaranteed a specific cabin category (but not a specific stateroom) for a discounted price. Then you will be assigned a stateroom in that category closer to your sail date. It’s a great deal for families that are okay with any stateroom.

But here’s why a Guaranteed stateroom doesn’t work for a lot of my clients.
They need a specific section of the ship.
They are traveling with other staterooms and want to be close together.
The verandah could have an obstructed view.
They know a bad location or view would put a damper on the trip.

There are so many perks to sailing Concierge Level on a Disney Cruise but the lounge is my favorite!

A spacious area perfect for relaxing away from the bustle of the rest of the ship. Small bites & snacks rotate through the day, so there’s always something new to munch on. It’s time for a girls trip to NYC! And I have the perfect hotel for you to recharge and relax, before heading out to experience the city with your friends.

The Langham Hotel is a high end, boutique hotel with excellent amenities & fabulous staff. We arrived to an unfortunately rainy weekend, meaning we couldn’t use our terrace. The front desk immediately upgraded us to a suite which had plenty of space for us to hang out and more than made up for the rained out terrace.

We enjoyed drinks & appetizers at the hotel restaurant and LOVED room service every morning. And we were so conveniently located to dining, shopping, and MSG.

Favorite Disney Cruise Line port? Galveston, TX.

Not because the terminal is super swanky or the ships are majestic but because it’s easier for me.

Why?

I can comfortably drive there from central Arkansas the morning of the cruise. This avoids the expense and annoyance of flying in the night before and staying at a hotel pre cruise.

You can park right at the terminal. It made arriving and leaving so easy and quick.

Smaller port which means less chaos. It’s easier to navigate and find where you’re supposed to be.

The most stressful part of a Disney Cruise is getting there and boarding. Ports close to home make cruising so much easier! If Galveston is driving distance for your family, let’s start planning your cruise today!
