**DDT AUSTRALIA IS UP NEXT!!**
As DDT “ALL ITALY” winds down, DDT AUSTRALIA is up next! Most of our travelers leave TODAY and arrive in Australia TOMORROW.
Before you head to the airport, please make sure you have your Australian visa—also known as an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). The info is directed in your travel docs. Keep in mind, you must obtain your ETA BEFORE YOU TRAVEL (U.S. citizens traveling to Australia for tourism or business for less than 90 days must apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before departure). Its simple to get: The Tourist visa requirements are:
 A visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is required.
 No vaccinations are required.
 Valid passport.
 You must have 1 blank page available per stamp.

**DDT "ALL ITALY" GROUPS 1, 2 & 3:**
The last of DDT Group 1 arrive home today. A few had to stay overnight and hang out in Paris–how terrible! lol. Group 2 will arrive home tomorrow, and Group 3 will complete their Italian journey when they return on Wednesday.
What an extraordinary adventure this has been! Once again, DDT delivered an unforgettable expedition. We were traveling through Italy like absolute BOSSES! From northern Italy all the way to the breathtaking southern coast, we didn’t simply visit Italy—we experienced it! We embraced the culture, tasted the authentic cuisine (5 extra lbs of joy!), connected with the people and stood in the presence of some of the world’s most legendary landmarks.
We enjoyed romantic gondola rides through the canals of Venezia (Venice)–with private musicians, admired Michelangelo’s magnificent Statue of David in Firenze (Florence), and walked through thousands of years of history at the Colosseum in Roma (Rome). We posed beside the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, experienced the spiritual beauty of Assisi, saw the volcanic ruins of Pompeii, cruised to the stunning Island of Capri and took in the spectacular scenery of the Amalfi Coast as we traveled up and down the Mountains…AND WE SHOPPED!!

Along the way, we laughed, celebrated, danced, ate incredibly well, drank a lot of delicious Italian w**e (especially the Blue W**e!) and created moments that could never be captured in photographs alone (like having drinks in an ICE BAR!). We began this journey as three separate groups—but we’re returning home with beautiful memories and most importantly: new friendships that will last a lifetime–THAT'S THE TRUE ESSENCE OF DDT!
To everyone who traveled with us: Thank you for trusting DDT with your Italian adventure! You brought the energy, the elegance and the DDT Family spirit everywhere we went. Three groups. One magnificent country. One incredible Italian adventure. All of that equals a lifetime of memories!
This wasn’t just a vacation—it was ANOTHER DDT IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE! THIS is how the DDT Family travels!

**OFFICE CLOSED TIL THURSDAY:**
So today, I start adjusting to the jet lag. I'm only up writing this Newsletter (its 4am!) for the DDT Australia people. The office will be closed until Thursday. I'm getting older and need rest people!! lol Plus, Ying is heading to Australia with that group and won't be around.
When I get back, we'll start to focus on adding another Northern Europe group (our wait list is growing too fast). We'll also work on Tokyo Groups 1-4, the DDT Family Reunion Cruise and the 2 groups for South Africa…whew!! No rest for the weary!

My Good People, here are the updates for our 3 groups leaving for Italy starting this weekend!

**DDT--IT'S ALL ITALY "AMORE" TIME!**
The time has finally arrived! Three (3) Dancin’ Doug Travel (DDT) groups are preparing for an unforgettable journey through the history, culture, beauty, and flavors of Italy. Our Italian adventure begins with us experiencing Venice's famous canals and enchanting Gondola rides! From Venice, we’ll travel into the beautiful Tuscan countryside, where we’ll stop at a local farm to enjoy a w**e tasting and savor some delicious regional specialties. We’ll then visit Pisa’s Piazza dei Miracoli and see one of Italy’s most recognizable landmarks—the "Leaning Tower of Pisa" (get ready to take some cool pictures).
AS WE CONTINUE WITH THE MENU...
Next, we’ll explore Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. This will be our first opportunity to do some REAL shopping for Italian Leather and "Black Gold"--Plus hit some of the Designer Outlets. Then it’s on to Rome. We’ll tour the Vatican Museum and marvel at Michelangelo’s incomparable Sistine Chapel. We’ll also step into the world of ancient Rome with a tour that includes the Roman Forum and an outside view of the legendary Colosseum. Continuing south, we’ll travel past the beautiful Bay of Naples and majestic Mount Vesuvius to explore Pompeii—the ancient city frozen in time. Our Italian journey concludes along the Sorrento Coast, surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views of the azure-blue Gulf of Naples. From Sorrento, some travelers will continue their adventure with a visit to the glamorous island of Capri, while we're working on a trip to experience the spectacular scenery of the Amalfi Coast.
Along the way, our tour includes 13 meals—9 breakfasts and 4 dinners—giving us even more opportunities to enjoy Italy’s wonderful cuisine and spend time together.

**DDT FULL CHECKLIST BEFORE WE GO:**
I tried to create a comprehensive list of things we'll need before/when we go. If I forgot anything, don't hesitate to reach out to me or put in the group chat.
Travel documents:
• Pack your Passport NOW!
• Did you get Travel insurance?? Its not too late.
• Copies/photo of passport and Travel documents.
• Emergency contacts and prescription details.
Clothing:
• Comfortable walking shoes/sneakers.
• Lightweight, breathable outfits.
• One dressier dinner outfit.
• Light sweater or jacket.
• Rain jacket or compact umbrella.
• Hat, sunglasses, and swimwear (Hotels have pools).
Electronics:
• Phone and charger.
• European Type C or Type L plug adapter/converter (220V to 110V).
• Camera and charger, if desired.
Health and toiletries:
• Prescription medicine in original containers.
• Basic pain, allergy, stomach, and motion-sickness medicine.
• Toothbrush and personal toiletries.
• Sunscreen and insect repellent.
• Hand sanitizer and tissues.
• Bring face wash-cloths (Most European Hotels don't use them).
Day-trip essentials:
• Secure crossbody bag or money belt.
• Small backpack.
• Compression socks for the flight.
• Snacks.
Before leaving:
• Notify your bank of international travel if required.
• Confirm international phone service or purchase a SIM card.
• Check airline baggage limits.
• Leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs.
• DO NOT pack valuables in checked luggage.

**DDT WHATSAPP GROUPS & FLYING DRESS UPDATES:**
Ying is creating a separate WhatsApp chat group for each of our three Italy trips. You should have begun receiving your group invitations by last night, so please be on the lookout for them. If you don't get one by today, please reach out to Ying at: [email protected].
We’ll repost the flight schedules in each group so you can connect and coordinate with travelers arriving on the same flight, or around the same time, for your Taxis/Ubers to and from the airport(s).

FLYING DRESS PHOTO SHOOTS:
Some travelers will be doing their Flying Dress photo shoots at the Colosseum. Stefano (the photographer) will send an email on Wednesday, August 19, with your scheduled date and time slot. The email will also include all the important information and instructions you’ll need for your session.
Please watch your inbox and be prepared—these photo shoots begin early in the morning! Be ready, arrive on time, and prepare for an unforgettable experience at one of Rome’s most iconic landmarks.

**GROUP HARMONY:**
Group Harmony, Tour Conductors, Leads & Tips: Maintaining a warm, respectful, and professional atmosphere is important to Dancin’ Doug Travel. To protect the safety, comfort, and overall experience of the group, DDT reserves the right to reject, remove, or expel any traveler whose behavior is considered disruptive, unsafe, or incompatible with the group’s best interests. This includes—but is not limited to—intoxication, belligerent behavior, or disrespectful conduct toward vendors, staff members, tour personnel, or fellow travelers. Any expenses resulting from a traveler’s removal—including cancellation fees, alternate travel arrangements, accommodations, or transportation home—will be the traveler’s responsibility. Unused services are nonrefundable.

**TOUR CONDUCTORS & DDT REPRESENTATIVES:**
Each group will have its own tour conductor provided by the tour vendor. They will be your main contact and source of information/direction. A DDT Representative will also accompany each group and assist with any additional questions or concerns:

GRATUITIES:
The gratuity amount is $100 per person or $200 per couple, in U.S. dollars. Your DDT representative will collect the gratuities at the hotel on the first day upon arrival at dinner. Please place the full amount in an envelope and clearly write your name—or both travelers’ names for couples—on the outside.
This is the DDT policy, and all travelers are expected to comply. Anyone who does not follow this policy may be removed from the group. I sincerely thank you for helping us protect DDT’s reputation as a warm, welcoming travel family of Urban Professionals.

**6TH ANNUAL CASINO ROYALE**
A Celebration of Family • Black Elegance • Excellence.
It was PHENOMENAL! There's simply no better word to describe our 6th Annual Casino Royale Family Appreciation Weekend. From the moment everyone arrived, the weekend was a beautiful display of Black Elegance, family, fellowship, and love. Our ladies and gentlemen were dressed to the 9’s—graceful, sophisticated, and absolutely stunning. What made it even more special was seeing how far our family traveled to be together. We welcomed loved ones from California, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, the Carolinas, and throughout the NY Metro Area. This wasn’t just an event. It was a celebration of DDT.
FRIDAY | FELLOWSHIP & LAUGHTER: We opened the weekend with Movie Night featuring the classic Harlem Nights. The laughter was flowing, the energy was right, and it was the perfect beginning to a weekend centered around enjoying one another.
SATURDAY | FAMILY & FELLOWSHIP: Saturday afternoon brought everyone together for our catered BBQ. Great food, great conversation, and even better company filled the day. For many of us, it was the first time seeing one another since Summer Madness, making every hug, every laugh, and every conversation that much more meaningful.
SATURDAY NIGHT | CASINO ROYALE: And then came the elegance...Saturday evening transformed into a beautiful celebration of style, sophistication, and Black excellence. Our Men in Tuxedos and our Women in gowns. Felichia elevated the evening with her unforgettable Coconut Sangria presentation: Fruit-filled glasses adorned with scented roses created a gorgeous display, all while cascading dry ice produced a dramatic “smoking” effect across the table. The presentation was nothing short of spectacular. Then Big Ron and his horn brought another level of class and soul to the evening, providing the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable atmosphere. WE HAD A BALL!

**DID YOU SAY EATS??**
We can’t talk about Saturday night at our 6th Annual Casino Royale without talking about the EATS! Because, while the gambling tables were hot, the food was giving them some serious competition!
Our very own “Charcuterie Chicks” — Tina, Lisa, and Des — showed OUT with two (2) incredible DDT Boards, beautifully arranged and loaded with all kinds of delicious hors d’oeuvres. The presentation was elegant, the selections were plentiful, and those boards were definitely a centerpiece of the evening!
Then my son Doug and his girl Shamilla, came through with those delicious Jerk Wings—bringing just the right amount of flavor to the party. And, of course, the Coconut Sangria was FLOWING!
But you know we couldn’t stop there…For dessert, we enjoyed designer gourmet cookies and pretzels, along with some absolutely delicious Coconut Cakes made by our very own Vickie Wise! From the charcuterie boards to the wings…From the Coconut Sangria to the desserts...WE ATE WELL!
It was the perfect complement to an evening filled with beautiful people, laughter, music, fellowship, and plenty of fun around the gambling tables.

**WE’VE OFFICIALLY OUTGROWN CASA DE NOVA COLÓN**
Casino Royale Is Moving On Up! IT’S OFFICIAL! After six phenomenal years, I have to make an announcement: CASINO ROYALE HAS OUTGROWN CASA DE NOVA COLÓN! What started as an intimate gathering has grown into something bigger, better, and more beautiful every year. With family traveling from across the country to celebrate with us, we’ve reached the point where the house simply can’t hold us anymore! And between you and me…THREE DAYS OF CLEANING AND TWO TRIPS TO THE DUMP? Nahhh.
So, beginning next year, Casino Royale is taking the show on the road! ITS OUR 7TH ANNUAL CASINO ROYALE — HOST HOTEL EDITION! That means more room for our family, more space for the festivities, accommodations for our out-of-town guests, and an opportunity to take the entire Casino Royale experience to another level. And most importantly… SOMEBODY ELSE CAN CLEAN UP! Casa De Nova Colón has served us well and holds some incredible memories, but growth is a beautiful thing—and WE HAVE GROWN!
So get ready! Next year, we’re going HOTEL-STYLE. Same family. Same love. Same Black Elegance. Just MORE ROOM TO HAVE A BALL! Host hotel details coming soon.

**ITALY CASH AND TIPS:**
For those traveling to Italy, keep in mind that the dollar is LESS than the Euro. One (1) United States Dollar equals 0.87 Euro. DO NOT convert money in the Airport. Wait until we get to the Hotel and do it there or go to a Bank nearby.
I suggest you have about $300-$500 on you for the week and a half. But its up to you. Please notify your Bank and credit card company that you're leaving the country.
With that, we'll still bring $100pp in tips. That's the DDT Policy ($10 per day). They'll be collected on the first day. So please put them in an envelope with your name(s) on it. I will collect for Group 1. Ying will collect for Group 2 and Shelanie will collect for Group 3.
If you plan on shopping, there are Designer Outlets in Rome and Florence. There's also a store I go to in Florence to buy my leather. Italy specializes in "Black Gold" so you may want to have your credit card ready for some nice deals on soft Italian Leather and nice jewelry.

**DDT FAMILY APPRECIATION WEEKEND & CASINO ROYALE**
IT'S FINALLY HERE!
We've been counting down to this weekend for months, and I can't wait to see everyone! This is our chance to relax, laugh, catch up with old friends, make some new ones, and simply enjoy being together as the DDT Family.
Here's what's in store...
FRIDAY NIGHT: We're kicking things off with Movie Night: Get ready for "Harlem Nights"--one of the funniest movies ever. We're doing Popcorn and Crunch & Munch.
9:00 PM – Our Movie begins.
11:00 PM – Pool Party: When the movie ends, the music comes up! Bring your swimsuit and join us by the pool as we kick off an unforgettable weekend.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON: We'll be at Pine Log Park (under the Pavilion), so don't worry if Mother Nature decides to join us—we're covered!
12:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Come hungry because we'll have plenty of great BBQ, food (it's catered), music, laughs, and good company.

**OFFICE CLOSED:**
As I get "Casa De Nova Colón" and "Club Zanzibar" ready for Casino Royale, I'll be closing the DDT Office for the next week. Our people start arriving Thursday and leave on Monday, so I'll be caught up prepping, entertaining and then getting the House back to normal once everyone leaves.
Ying (our DDT President) will also be coming down for the week to work on DDT balance statements and the transition for the management of the Agencies under the DDT Host Umbrella.

**007--I'M A POET AND DIDN'T KNOW IT!**
As I get ready for the Casino weekend I decided to have a little fun and write a DDT rhyme (this can't touch our own Gold Record writer Billy Bill Waring's bars).
"My Tuxedo is on, I’m the Black James Bond, when you hear "Its a Love Thang", you know the party is on.
Coconut Sangria, sipping under the stars, (but nobody-NOBODY-goes behind the Bar!)
Big Ron on the Sax, playing smooth all night, got my crew from Polo-so the feeling is right.
From the trips overseas, to the parties back home, we travel as a Family, we never travel alone.
DDT forever—yeah, our Tribe is strong,
We celebrate our bonds to the break of dawn.

**IT'S 10 DAYS TO DDT FAMILY APPRECIATION WEEKEND & CASINO ROYALE!**
The countdown is ON! In just 10 days, we'll be celebrating the amazing people who make the DDT Family so special. Get ready for a weekend filled with fun, fellowship, great food, music, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
Dust off your BLACK Elegant & Luxurious attire and get ready for an incredible night of Casino games, live saxophone music, dancing, our signature Coconut Sangria, and the best company around--And some of us are wearing TUX/GOWNS! (because we have 2 portable A/C units to keep us cool).
Let's get ready to celebrate the DDT way! See you August 7–9 for a weekend you'll be talking about all year. Its 10 DAYS TO GO... ARE YOU READY??

**DDT FAMILY APPRECIATION WEEKEND ITINERARY:**
Here's what you can expect during an unforgettable weekend:
FRIDAY NIGHT – MOVIE NIGHT: "HARLEM NIGHTS" 9:00-9:30 PM – Movie starts:
 On the Menu: Fresh Popcorn, Twizzlers and Crunch 'n Munch.
 Midnight Pool Party begins immediately after the movie! Bring your swimsuit (check for any sharp objects) and enjoy a relaxing evening by the pool.
SATURDAY – DAY PARTY/BBQ (catered) at Pine Log Park: 1451 Pine Log Rd NE, Conyers.
 12:00 PM – Day Party Begins (there's no alcohol allowed in the Park).
 2:00 PM – Lunch is Served.
 6:00 PM (ish) – Day Party Ends. This gives everyone plenty of time to return to their hotel, relax, and get dressed for an elegant evening.
SATURDAY NIGHT: DDT CASINO ROYALE

2️⃣ If Coconut Sangria isn't your drink of choice, feel free to bring your favorite beverage.
3️⃣ Please park single file along the side of the house and be careful not to block any neighbor's driveway.
4️⃣ You are our guests in this neighborhood. Please keep noise to a respectful level when arriving, leaving, or while outside the house.

This will let you see who's on your flight so you can coordinate and share transportation to the hotel in Venice and when we leave from Sorrento (to Naples Airport). Remember, you only need a one-way transfer from the airport to the hotel. Once the tour begins, DDT and our vendor takes care of everything from there.
You have a couple of great options:
 Private Water Taxi (pre-arrange before you arrive). Just Google "Water Taxi Venice" and you'll find several reputable companies. It costs approximately €120–€160 for up to 4 passengers.
 Uber Water Limo: You can arrange for this option before arriving or when you get there. They cost approximately €120 for up to 6 passengers.
Sharing a ride with others on your flight is a great way to reduce the cost while starting your Italian adventure together.

✅ Print them out.
✅ Keep them with you throughout the trip.
✅ Bring them to the airport along with your passport.
Your travel documents contain important information, including hotels, meeting locations, transfers, and other details you'll need during our amazing Italian adventure.
