Yesterday was World Donkey Day! 🫏
It’s a good time to be reminded how special these gentle souls really are. We are incredibly lucky to share this island with so many free-roaming donkeys, each one part of the spirit and history of this beautiful place. Please drive slowly, admire then from a distance, and help protect them for generations to come. ❤️ 🫏
On World Donkey Day, we’re celebrating St. John’s most iconic residents.
This weekend, our volunteers will be out de‑worming the island’s donkeys — an essential part of keeping the herd healthy and preventing parasite‑related illness.
You can help by:
• Giving donkeys space on the road
• Never feeding them
• Not stopping on the road to pet or take photos
Together, we keep the herd safe.
