A rainbow after dark? That is the magic of the Moonbow at Cumberland Falls!

This rare natural phenomenon appears when moonlight shines through the mist of the Falls, creating a glowing nighttime rainbow that feels almost unreal. Cumberland Falls is one of only two places in the world where the Moonbow can be regularly seen, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

For the best viewing experience, plan to visit on a clear night and give your eyes time to adjust to the darkness. Bringing a camera? Long exposure photos are the best way to capture the beauty of the Moonbow in full color.

The best viewing times for this month:
Friday, May 29th 9:30pm - 11:30pm
Saturday, May 30th 10:30pm - 12:30am
Sunday, May 31st 11:30pm - 1:30am
Monday, June 1st 12:30am - 2:30am
Tuesday, June 2nd 1:30am - 3:30am

For more information about Moonbow viewing or cabin rentals, contact Cumberland Falls State Resort Park at 606-528-4121.
