Here's your reminder that some of Kentucky's greatest wonders only appear after dark. Make plans to see the August Moonbow beginning Wednesday, August 26!

At Cumberland Falls, moonlight and mist come together to create one of nature's rarest spectacles: the Moonbow. This glowing nighttime rainbow appears when the light of the moon shines through the mist rising from the Falls, creating an unforgettable sight. Cumberland Falls is one of only two places in the world where a Moonbow can be regularly seen on schedule, so if you can’t make it this month there is always another chance.

For the best experience, visit on a clear night, allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness, and take your time soaking in the view. If you're bringing a camera, use a long exposure setting to capture the Moonbow's vibrant colors in all their glory.

The viewing times for this month are:
Wednesday, August 26th 9:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 27th 10:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Friday, August 28st 10:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Saturday, August 29th 11:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Sunday, August 30th 11:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.

For more information about Moonbow viewing or cabin rentals, contact Cumberland Falls State Resort Park at 606-528-4121. You can find Cumberland Falls State Resort Park at 7351 Hwy 90, Corbin, KY 40701.
