Where Did Across the Sky Travelers Go in May?

May was filled with memorable journeys and stories that will be shared for years to come.

One family set off on their first trip to Ireland, exploring Dublin, Galway, and Belfast. Their adventure was filled with laughter, discovery, and plenty of craic along the way.

Italy was a favorite destination this month. Clients traveled to Rome and Milan on custom itineraries designed around their personal interests. Highlights included exceptional food experiences, golf cart tours, and even a coveted performance at the world renowned La Scala.

We also had clients spend nearly three weeks exploring the stunning coastline, islands, and historic cities of Croatia. From wandering ancient streets to enjoying long dinners overlooking the Adriatic, they immersed themselves in the destination and returned home already talking about when they can go back.

May also marked our first group journey to Italy with the North Mecklenburg Women's Club and Collette. Together, they explored Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Stresa, and more. It was wonderful to see new friendships formed, old friendships strengthened, and so many special moments shared along the way.

At Across the Sky Travel, we believe travel is about more than destinations. It is about the stories that unfold when families reconnect, friends travel together, and travelers immerse themselves in new cultures and experiences. June is shaping up to be another exciting month, with clients heading to Ireland, Scotland, England, France, and Mexico.

Did you know that today is National Bicycle Day? We couldn't let it pass without sharing the story of two clients who are about to experience one of the most unique cycling events in France.

These wonderful repeat clients are heading to the Loire Valley to participate in Anjou Vélo Vintage, a beloved cycling festival that attracts bicycle enthusiasts from around the world. Riders don vintage clothing, hop aboard beautifully restored bicycles, and pedal through vineyards, villages, castles, and some of the most beautiful countryside in France. Spots are limited and highly sought after, so securing a place on the ride was a celebration in itself.

After the festivities conclude, their journey continues. They'll swap their vintage bicycles for modern ones and spend the next several days exploring the Loire Valley at their own pace, cycling to Amboise, visiting the magnificent Fontevraud Abbey, and soaking in the history, scenery, and charm of this remarkable region.

Eventually they'll make their way back to Paris by train because even the most dedicated cyclists know when it's time to let someone else do the pedaling.

We love helping our clients find experiences that connect them to a destination in meaningful ways. Sometimes that's a cooking class in Tuscany, a safari in Africa, or a family heritage journey in Ireland. This time, it's France from the seat of a bicycle.

A few weeks ago, we shared a Bon Voyage post for a family heading to Ireland for their very first trip abroad together. Their goal? To experience Ireland with their adult sons and simply enjoy time together without worrying about the details.

Lately, the ocean has been calling …and our clients are answering.

Recently, our clients have been dreaming of wide open seas, incredible scenery, culture, adventure…and a chance to unpack once while waking up somewhere new each morning.

Bon Voyage to our Across the Sky Travel clients as they head off on their very first trip abroad to Ireland.

While they’ve cruised before, this journey is something entirely different. There is something truly special about helping a family plan their first big international adventure together, especially parents traveling with their adult sons and creating memories that will last far beyond the passport stamps.

And now this wonderful group from the North Mecklenburg Women’s Club is together in Italy, currently exploring the breathtaking coastline of the Cinque Terre.

This “Make Money Grow with Travel that Matters” adventure with Collette and
Across the Sky Travel began with the lakeside beauty of Stresa and now winds through the colorful villages of Cinque Terre before the group heads on to Tuscany, Florence, and Venice. There’s been amazing food, beautiful scenery, plenty of laughter, and those little moments that always seem to happen when good people travel together.

Across the Sky Travel worked closely with Collette Tours to help create a seamless experience for the group so the travelers could simply enjoy the journey. Great local guides, wonderful hotels, thoughtfully planned days, and just enough free time to wander, get lost, and discover Italy in their own way. That balance is one of the things I love most about this itinerary.

And perhaps the best part of all, this trip doesn’t just create memories in Italy. It also gives back here at home through the North Mecklenburg Women’s Club and the work they do in our local community. I love seeing travel connect people not only to the world, but back to each other as well.

A flurry of Buon Viaggio! is in store for Across the Sky Travel clients this week

Our first travelers are heading to Rome today and tomorrow, where they’ll spend a few days exploring before joining the North Mecklenburg Women’s Club for Collette’s Italy’s Treasures tour. Some will be diving into Rome through food tours and private walks through Trastevere, while others are zipping through the city on golf cart tours, exploring by ebike, or visiting the Vatican in the early morning before the crowds arrive. We customized each itinerary, so while one traveler may be driving a golf cart through the Borghese Gardens, another may be standing inside the Colosseum, imagining life in Ancient Rome. That’s what we love most—creating journeys that fit each traveler perfectly. No two itineraries are ever the same.
