Here's a wildlife tip for anyone visiting Corolla this spring or summer. At the southwest corner of Austin Street and Ocean Trail (Hwy 12), if you look up into some tall pine trees you'll easily see the Bald Eagle family that comes every spring/summer to their summer home at the Outer Banks. There's even a couple of young un's this season. Dad is keeping a close watch on things while striking a majestic pose for admirers.

***Just a reminder... Beach Parking Permits are required to drive on the 4x4 beach in Corolla, NC beginning this Saturday, April 26th. You may purchase them here: https://currituckcountync.ticketspice.com/currituck-county-beach-permit

Beach Parking permits for the Corolla 4x4 beach are now available. Permits are limited to 300 per week so, if you need a permit, please purchase them as soon as possible. https://currituckcountync.ticketspice.com/currituck-county-beach-permit
When driving on the 4wd beach, please remember to air down, drive at a slow, safe speed, be patient and conscious of people especially children playing on the beach and please stay at least 50 feet from the wild horses.
