Welcome home Jones family! 🏖️🏠

For six years, our summer Sundays started with a welcome post just like this one. From there came coordinating our turnover team, handling anything that popped up, and ending with a new family pulling into the carport, packed and ready for their beach week together.

This Sunday feels a little different. The family checking in is ours.

As we close out our final rental season, we wanted to share a few of the words that meant so much to us this summer. The memories made here were never just about the house itself. They were about the families who filled it with laughter, traditions, celebrations, and time together.

We feel incredibly blessed to have had the most wonderful guests over the years. Thank you for trusting us with your vacations, returning again and again, and caring for our home like it was your own! Your kind messages, your photos, your memories, and the moments you shared with us have meant more than you will ever know. And as excited as we are for our next chapter in our home, we will truly miss that warm feeling we got from knowing another family enjoyed their stay in our special place!

We also want to thank our AMAZING team behind the scenes who helped us week after week keep The Balcony to the highest standards. Your care, hard work, and consistency made it possible for each family to arrive to a home that felt welcoming, beautiful, and ready for memory-making. We are so grateful for all you did!!

This home has held so many special moments, and we will always be thankful for the people who made this chapter so full.

Now it’s our turn to make memories here. 🏖💙

After a whirlwind few months of moving, downsizing, selling a house, changing addresses, and trying to figure out our new normal, some time at the beach with our family sounds pretty perfect right now!

We're excited to unplug, slow down a little, and enjoy the home we've worked so hard to build with the people we love most.

The Balcony has helped create memories for so many families over the years. This time, it's our turn to vacation! ❤️🏖️

Some of you have reached out after hearing that The Balcony won't be available for rentals in 2027 and asked if we have any recommendations. We absolutely do! These three beautiful homes are owned by one incredible family who started as our neighbors and have become dear friends, our OBX "framily." ❤️

🏖️ **Off the Grid OBX** is right next door to The Balcony, one house closer to the ocean. With **6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms**, it offers a beautifully updated home with incredible ocean views and easy beach access.

🌊 **The Turning Tide** is just across the open green space behind our home in the next section north. With **6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms**, it shares so many of the things our guests love about The Balcony: a peaceful setting, beautiful views, and easy access to our same stretch of quiet beach.

🏡 **Above & Beyond OBX** sits right next door to The Turning Tide, one home closer to the beach. With **8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms**, it's a fantastic option for larger family gatherings, reunions, or multi-family vacations.

One of the greatest gifts of owning The Balcony has been the friendships we've built with other homeowners who care as much about their guests as we do. We know this family, we know these homes, and we're confident you'll have an amazing stay at any of them!

We're so excited to welcome the Tucker & Holte families back to The Balcony!

One of the best parts of sharing our home has been seeing families return year after year. Knowing you've chosen to spend another week making memories here means so much to us.
