nd hot tub, ocean views, rooftop deck. Twin Shores is a dog friendly vacation home located on Carova beach, North Carolina, where the wild horses roam free and the roads are made of sand. This house is about 8 miles up the beach (after leaving the main part of Corolla), 4th row from the ocean, 5-7 minute walk to the beach. It has 2 masters, 1 semi-master and one other bedroom. Bedding is 1 king, 2 queens and one bunk bed with a double and a twin. The person cooking for the family will love Twin Shore's renovated kitchen with tons of cookware and utensils. We have a full size electric griddle for all those family breakfasts. The kitchen has an automatic drip coffee maker and a keurig. We pride ourselves on having everything you might need in the kitchen, but if you have a couple of favorite items, feel free to bring them, just be sure to remember to bring them home. We also have a blender, food processor, rice cooker, full size electric griddle, hand mixer, slow cooker, many pots and pans and bowls and plenty of silverware and plates. We have a water cooler but we cannot control whether the last renter has left you any water when you arrive. You can buy replacement water jugs at Ace of Corolla. There are 2 propane tanks at Twin Shores. One is attached to the grill and the other is backup. If the one attached to the grill runs out, let me know, and grab the backup one and attach it. You can leave it outside on the ground floor and I will have someone pick it up to refill it. The family room has a 65 inch flat screen TV with surround sound. There is a 42 inch flat screen in the den, and all 4 bedrooms have TVs. All TVs have local channels via antenna, and DVDs, and Netflix access. Relax at the private pool and 7 person hot tub (hot tub located on the screen in porch). It also has a large rooftop deck for more ocean viewing and star gazing. Great information

The season has officially started! A reminder if you’re visiting the 4x4 beaches this weekend and all summer long:

It is illegal to intentionally come within 50ft of the horses, and this applies when you are inside a vehicle too. If a horse approaches you, move away from it. Not only are the horses dangerous, but encouraging this kind of behavior can lead to habituation that could result in the horse’s removal from the wild. Feeding kills. Apples and carrots are not part of their natural diet and can cause fatal choke and colic. Don’t be the reason a horse loses its freedom, or even worse, its life.

Foals are adorable and everyone wants to get a good photo, but crowding and stressing harems with foals can lead to all kinds of potentially life-threatening issues. Foals can get separated from their mothers, stressed horses can become aggressive towards you and each other, and foals can become exhausted and dehydrated from constantly moving around. Please keep your distance and do not put undue pressure on these youngsters.

If you’re 50ft away that means you aren’t feeding the horses, habituating them, or putting yourself in danger of being kicked by an irritated mare. Everything is great! It’s really easy to do and you’ll have just as much fun, we promise. If you see someone breaking the law or behaving in a dangerous manner, please immediately call 252-453-3633 so that law enforcement can be dispatched and CWHF notified.
