As in life, all things come to an end. Monica and I decided to sell the GolfinDolphin and move onto new interests. As of September 1st 2020, the home has taken on new owners. I want to thank all who enjoyed their time at the GolfinDolphin while vacationing in the Outer Banks.

The Golfin' Dolphin is open and ready for the 2016 Season

This season you will enjoy a Bucket (18) of made to order warm delicious donuts from Duck Donuts compliments of The Golfin Dolphin. The local Duck Donuts is located at the Currituck Club Shopping Center where Harris Teeter resides, 601 Currituck Clubhouse Dr. Your check-in packet will contain a certificate to be redeemed by guests. Duck Donuts has become a staple of the Outer Banks that we hope you will enjoy.

Renewed for the 2016 season, Kilmarlic Golf Club (K-Club) Benefits are available to guests during their stay at The Golfin' Dolphin. A pamphlet of amenities will be included within your check-in packet and will be on display at the Golfin' Dolphin.

We have upgraded to 802.11ac wireless networking with the highest level of bandwidth available from any provider on the Outer Banks. Our partnership with RenterNetUSA gives unparalleled 24 hour guest support for wireless internet access while enjoying your stay at The Golfin' Dolphin.

New for the 2016 season is the pool pump, sand filter and propane heater for those who wish to heat the pool this season. We have also replaced the outdoor gas grill with a new Weber model 320. A new Nags Head Hammocks Sling Swing can be found on the middle deck overlooking the pool.

Corolla Greenway - Construction of a 3- mile-long extension of the multi-use path in Corolla is projected to be finished by the beginning of June. This path runs along Route12 on the eastern side of the road. The path has been blended into the natural surroundings of Corolla.

The addition to the greenway will be 10 feet wide and run from the south end of Ocean Sands section A (Golfin' Dolphin) to Monteray Plaza. From here you can re-connect on the western side of Route12 and continue the path all the way to Ocean Hill.

The 22nd Annual Independence Day Celebration in Corolla has been rescheduled for Monday, July 7. The event will feature food vendors, a co****le tournament, watermelon eating contest, and children’s games. Admission and parking are free; event starts at 5:00 p.m. with a fireworks display at dusk.

What better way to celebrate America’s independence than with a spectacular fireworks display on the Outer Banks? If you’re staying on the northern Outer Banks beaches in Corolla, Duck, or Southern Shores this July, then you won’t want to miss the 22nd Annual Independence Day Celebration at Currituck Heritage Park in Corolla, NC.

The event takes place on July 4, 2014 and offers event attendees the chance to see a colorful display of explosives in the sky. There are legal firework displays only one day out of the year on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, so the Fourth of July is certainly a great time of year to vacation on the OBX. Corolla’s July 4th celebration will not only feature plenty of fireworks, but the event will also feature an afternoon of fun, family friendly activities.

Attendees can sample fare from local food vendors, partake in a competitive co****le tournament or challenge others to a watermelon eating contest. There will also be several events designed for the younger crowd.

The best part about the event (besides the fireworks), is that admission and parking are totally free! Everyone loves free activities, and this is certainly one event you won’t want to miss.

What's new for 2014 at The Golfin' Dolphin

In all King (3) and Queen (1) Bedrooms, we've replaced the mattress and box spring with new Serta Plush Mattresses. All bedrooms have been equipped with Charter Cable Digital / High Definition Cable Boxes. Now you can enjoy all the channels that are available in our current Charter Cable subscription in the bedrooms. All bedrooms have also been equipped with flatscreen 20", 24" or 32" High Def Televisions.

Renternet USA is supplying our internet service. It is a fully managed secure wireless network which will support up to 15 wireless devices. They also offer 24 hour phone support backed by next day onsite. Our system will also support up to 60mb download speeds.

K-Club Membership has been renewed for the 2014 season. This membership offers our guests discounts at Kilmarlic Golf Club as well as a variety of discounted activities. Find out more while staying at The Golfin' Dolphin.

Lighthouse Bagels have been renewed for the 2014 season. While staying at The Golfin' Dolphin, enjoy one dozen bagels as our gift of appreciation.

For the spring and fall guests, we have replaced our fireplace logs with a simple flick of the switch on/off operation.
