This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, may we also take a moment to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

From all of us in Harrison County, thank you to the heroes we remember today — and always.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend. ❤️🤍💙

Since January 1, 2026, we’ve mailed our visitor guides to travelers in 24 different states — from Hawaii to Massachusetts and many places in between. Every highlighted state on this map represents people who have specifically requested information about visiting our area.

It’s exciting to see interest in our community growing across the country, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more visitors throughout 2026!

🇺🇸 Don’t forget — the Run for the Wall riders will be coming into town TODAY (5/19) around 5:30 PM! 🇺🇸

We would love to see our community line Capitol Avenue and give this incredible group a warm Corydon welcome as they arrive downtown.

We are keeping an eye on the weather, and at this time it looks like the rain should hold off until after their arrival. We do encourage everyone to err on the side of caution and arrive early. This group is a well-oiled machine, and if they’re able to arrive ahead of schedule — especially with weather concerns — they will.

Please also be mindful of increased traffic and possible temporary road closures as we prepare for their arrival downtown.

📍 The Visitors Center will also be staying open a little later this evening, and CVB staff will be out on Capitol Avenue with extra American flags for anyone who needs one — plus FREE stickers celebrating America’s 250th anniversary! 🇺🇸✨

Be sure to FIND US out on the street to grab yours!

Have you ever paddled the Blue River? Are you looking for the perfect summer adventure? Paddle Festival at Cave Country Canoes is one of Southern Indiana’s most unique outdoor weekends — combining river trips, live music, food, and unforgettable days along the scenic Blue River.

Flowing between Harrison and Crawford counties, the Blue River offers some of the most beautiful paddling in Southern Indiana. During Paddle Festival, guests have the opportunity to paddle up to 48 miles of the Blue River over four days — with the final trip taking paddlers all the way to where the Blue River meets the Ohio River.

This weekend is all about getting outside and experiencing the river in a whole new way.
