Severe substance use disorders (SUD) have been recognized as chronic, relapsing disorders from which people can recover and lead productive lives through long-term treatment, continuing care, and recovery support. The substantial change in understanding the nature of addiction as a chronic rather than an acute illness or a moral failure calls for a change in social perceptions, substance use prevention, treatment, and outcome expectations.

is substance use not your primary problem? That's OK, we offer a full mental health treatment program. Working or attending school during the day? That's OK, we offer an evening IOP track!
Breakaway Health Corporation has a wide range of services that are offered to clients including weekly individual therapy sessions, one on one time with a case manager who offers SUD + mental health counseling, resume building, & job placement assistance. Medication management under a psychiatrist, brain mapping, daily group therapy, lunch provided to our PHP clientele, and access to community 12-step support and so much more.

It has been 7 years since our Nikki graduated from Breakaway’s adolescent program!

From Nikki Fields herself:

I came through breakaway for dual diagnosis treatment as an adolescent broken and hopeless.

The care team, and the treatment I received not only changed my life but inspired me to one day work in the field.

After graduating breakaway, I started to pursue my educational path in the field of psychology.

Today I am 23 years old, am currently a student at Arizona State University and am three semesters away from obtaining by BA in the field.

In December, I will have worked for breakaway for 3 years and I wouldn’t trade this job for the world. This community, company and team trebly has my heart and has given me a higher purpose in life.

I aspire to be a therapist someday as I dream of helping others and being as helpful to others as my treatment team was for me.

I make an effort to bring extra love, light and understanding to breakaway and our clients everyday, I am so blessed to be part of this team and to get to work with the population and team that I do.
