My mom woke me that morning to tell me something was happening... Watch the news... It was eerie to see no planes over the Las Vegas sky.

I was scheduled for a night shift at the hospital as a brand new nurse, but decided to donate blood instead of sleeping, who could sleep anyway? That blood would sadly never need to be used by survivors.

I went to work exhausted, we were all in shock- me, my patients, my coworkers. But we had to keep going. I will never forget. Always in our hearts. 💙
