It’s been a great 2024 so far. I haven’t posted on Facebook since March & this is why! I Have really enjoyed my time on the water so far this year with some really great people. Thank you so much for your support. We are taking a short break the first week of August for a family vacation and then the 2nd part of the year starts for us! Looking forward to seeing the rest of y’all this late summer / fall! Thank you to all the other local guides & outfitters that let me take their customers fishing as well! A big reason for the success of this river are the other guides on it that help each other.

Most of my business could not have happened without the help from Jacob Commer who parted with us this month to begin his own journey as a captain in Mississippi for Redfish. We wish him all the luck in the world with this new chapter in his life and can’t wait to bring our people down to fish with you this fall!

Here’s just a few of the good ones from this Fall! Thanks to everyone who came out.

Sorry if it feels like I never post.. I’ve been enjoying a relaxed approach to social media this year (especially on Facebook) & not worrying about taking / posting pictures or videos of some of the 18-20” fish & truly just enjoying the time on the water with some great people. Also Social media takes so much time away from my afternoons on a work week & that time is precious to me.

As I wrap up my 232 working days on the water this year I’m incredibly thankful for the strength God gives me, the community that supports me, my customers that are more like family, the Guides that call me brother, and the place I call home with my amazing wife Jenny Woodard who I couldn’t do this without.

With all that being said I am way more active with updating people on my newsletter with what’s going on around the river, top flies for the month, where to wade if there’s wade water, water outlooks, and of course availability. You can sign up for that here:

Kenny & Renee had a blast landing this brown trout double. Some serious memories are made on my boat each day & I’m thankful for each & every one of them.. Ken’s fish jumped 4 times & Renee’s 5 before coming into the boat, I’ve never seen anything like it. Way to go team!

Fall seems to be knocking at our door next week! The cooler temps & storm systems should bring much needed relief to Bull Shoals Lake Dissolved Oxygen Issues & while fishing is still good in places it will get way better leading into October. Fish will begin to pair up & move to their annual “Spots.”
