Day 220. Travel day. We moved a little farther north today. Left the Salina area and are now near Payson, Utah. In the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Will be in this area for a few days maybe a week exploring.

Day 219. Salina, Utah. We got out for about a 10 mile loop today. Rode from Twin Ponds area and rode Niotche Creek area....

Day 217 Fish Lake National Forest. Dispersed camping near Gooseberry campground. Got out for a nice ride today before the wind kicked up in the afternoon. Did about an 11 mile loop. Nice trails through Aspen forests and around high mountain reservoirs. Also got to see a nice bull elk feeding in a small clearing.

Anniversary photo dump. 34 years ago today, Becky and I said I do to each other. There have been good times and bad times and some downright terrible times. But we have stuck by each other through all of it and have come out the other side a stronger couple/team. So happy that we get to enjoy this adventure together. Here’s to another 34+ years together. Happy Anniversary to us.

Day 212 and 213. Fish Lake National Forest. Got out for a couple rides the last 2 days. A short 4.5 mile loop yesterday to check out the terrain and the trails. Today we did about 13.5 miles. Rode out from camp to Johnson Resevoir then up over the mountain to Crater Lake, no water in Crater this year. Some awesome trails. A bit rocky and steep in a few areas but great riding. I was blessed today to find not one but two shed elk antlers. The first was a spike and I was tickled to find it. The second was a nice six point shed. I was ecstatic to find that one. A great day of riding in the Fish Lake National Forest.

Day 211. Travel day. We packed up and left Big John’s Flat and headed for Tasha Equestrian Campground which is still in the Fish Lake National Forest. On our way we had to make a trip to get more hay so we boondocked on BLM land near Junction, Utah. We dropped the trailer and Becky stayed with the horses while I made the trip into Panguitch to get hay. We decided to stay the night even though there was a herd of cows that didn’t want to leave. They eventually did and all was calm for the night. Next morning we hooked up and headed for Richfield to get horse feed and groceries before heading up to the Tasha campground.
