The Farmington River was a little tougher last evening than it has been with a sparse hatch. A changing cold front, brisk breeze until dark and a cut in flow to a CFS of about 140 didn't really help.
Despite that, Emily and Mallory enjoyed the evening. Mallory, caught her first ever brown trout on a fly rod! ADG Titanium Fly Rods

Dry fly action on the Farmington River in the evenings have been very, very good ! Although Sulphurs are starting to take over, it was an Iso night for me.

Dry fly fishing on the Farmington River has been great as of late. A short session in the evening, mid-week, produced a few decent browns and rainbows.

A 12 hour shift yesterday with a quick turnaround for another 1/2 shift last night left me drained and lacking the time to get out and fish somewhere.
I turned it around though and got some precious casting time in while cleaning up the yard and playing with the dogs.
I usually practice for 15-20 minutes a few times per week all spring, summer, and fall. Time to make up for missing out almost all of last season ADG Titanium Fly Rods .

Back at it again. Today I worked an Ed Shenk style white streamer. Brookies love them! I have to say that DEEP has really stocked a bunch of them this spring and they all fight well and look beautiful! Nice job DEEP. ADG Titanium Fly Rods

I'm not going to lie and say getting back into fishing, teaching and guiding hasn't been a real struggle since my injury last spring. Today was a nice little pick me up, though.

I'm hoping to get more involved this coming season. It will have to be one day at a time, though.

Hopefully, my job won't be too conflicting 🤞

I was able to fish a local river near my house for an hour before dark. It was a nice little pick-me-up to catch a few brookies. Some of the stockers this year looked pretty colorful. I was quite surprised !
