We’re headed to Chicago!

We’ll be exploring the Windy City, eating all the deep-dish pizza and Chicago-style hot dogs we can, and cheering on the Cubs vs. Dodgers at Wrigley Field. 🍕🌭⚾

Same bathing suit.
Different woman.
One year later.

If you know me, you know this hasn’t been an easy road. I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life — I’ve been up, I’ve been down, and I’ve started over more times than I can count.

But this time feels different.

I started my journey in August, and today I’m officially down 50 pounds.

I’ve learned that this isn’t a sprint — it’s a marathon. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about showing up again and again.

STRONG OVER SKINNY 💪

I also want to be real about something that’s been part of my journey — I’ve used a low-dose GLP-1 as a tool along the way. I’ll never understand why people deny it when they’re asked what they’re doing to lose weight. It’s a TOOL, not a solution. And it should be used in addition to working out and creating better eating habits.

For me, it wasn’t a shortcut or a magic fix. It simply helped quiet the constant “food noise” and gave me the space to build better habits, stay consistent, and actually listen to my body. I exercise 4-5 days a week, eat a lot of protein, drink a lot of water, manage my portion sizes, and try not to eat late at night.

I finally feel comfortable in my own skin again.

I’m wearing clothes I haven’t worn since before having the girls.

I can teach my hip-hop class twice a week without being out of breath from carrying extra weight.

I’m not up at night suffering with regurgitation and acid reflux.

My energy level is up and I sleep like a baby.

I can actually take a compliment.

I enjoy shopping for new clothes.

I encourage other women in their journeys.

I took my health back, and I’m never going back to that girl on the left.
